"Help me!" A young child cried. He was barely hanging onto a branch of a tall tree, which he had somehow climbed. Now he couldn't get down.

Roy was gazing up at the kid, the child's mother stood next to him. "I need to get up there," Roy said, mostly to himself. "But I don't have my ladder on me.."

"Hurry! I'm falling!" The kid cried as one of his hand slipped a few inches. The kid screeched and clutched harder to the branch.

Roy knew he had to do something. Thinking fast, he jumped up into the thicker tree branches, climbing up to the child. He stopped a few feet underneath the child, unable to climb up any further. He reached out his hand.

"This is going to sound scary, but you're going to have to let go!" Roy said, positioning himself to ensure the child's safety.

The kid kept clinging on to the branch. "No! I'm gonna fall!" He cried, tears streamed from his face. Roy sighed, anxious to get the child to safety. "Come on, it's fine! I'll catch you!"

Before the kid could reply, his hand slipped, and he plummeted down with a scream. Roy lunged forward, catching the kid in his arms whilst trying to steady himself on the thinner branches. For a few moments, they stood on a branch, slightly shocked.

"Okay," Roy said as he began to attach his rescue line to another, thicker branch. "I'm going to just-" Suddenly, the branch broke away, and they both tumbled down towards the ground. The kid let out a screech of terror and Roy tightened his grip on him.

It wasn't long before Roy hit the ground with a painful thud. His world spun for a few moments before he staggered to his feet. It had all happened so fast he hadn't completely processed what just happened.

"I-- Are you okay?" He said breathlessly to the child, who looked equally as shocked as he was. He let the kid plop onto the grass beside him. The kid simply nodded, not saying anything.

Roy sighed with relief. The kid's mother raced to her son's side. "Oh my gosh! Darling!" She hugged the kid tight.

It took him a few more moments to process, but when it did, he finally realized the sharp pain the spasmed through his leg. He winced and turned to it. His other leg was mostly okay, but his right leg hurt--badly.

Great, Roy thought to himself. Now Jin's going to keep me grounded inside for weeks.

The mother, now carrying her crying child in her arms, turned to him. "Are you alright? That was a really tough fall..."

Roy shot her a smile. "I'll be fine! Just need a little recovery time." He tried to get to his feet, but as he did so, pain shot through it and he found himself back on the ground. He clutched his leg for a few moments, waiting for the pain to subside before pulling out his transmitter.

The mother stared at him for a few moments before standing up herself. "Well, thank you, it could've ended worse." She put on a worried smile, nodding to him as she walked off with her kid.
