Poli leaped to his feet with a gasp. He had just made it. For some reason, this part of the tunnel didn't completely collapse, but he was thankful. He turned around, seeing that earth had filled everything behind him. If he had only been so much as a few feet the other way, he probably would be standing here at the moment.

Poli took a deep breath, attempting to calm his nerves. Adrenaline pulsed fiercely through him, leaving his legs shaky. He swallowed harshly before continuing the only way down the tunnel. His head lights flickered, making him stop to think about how long he's really been down here. Is the rescue team looking for him right now? Do they know what had even happened?

He walked for a bit, then broke into a dazed run. Poli just wanted to be out of here. It felt so strange. Being away from everything. From everyone.

He paused for a few moments to take a breather, propping his hand against the wall. Without thinking, he stepped forward. He was shocked to feel that his foot didn't collide with the earth below him. Instead, he slipped down, frantically grabbing the sides for support.

The dirt that lined the walls was weak and fragile. He struggled as he attempted to get a grip, quickly sliding downwards. Just then, he stopped. His legs trembled as he attempted to keep still there, using quite a bit what was left of his strength.

Poli looked down, there was about 15 feet between him and the presumable floor. He knew he couldn't climb down, so he slid.

He roughly skidded down the side, slamming into the ground. Quickly stumbling to his feet, he continued. He did his best to ignore his sore legs and arms. He wouldn't be going back up though, that's for sure.

Helly listened quietly as Amber tried to convince him that everything was fine. Poli had been gone without a trace for two days now and she still wouldn't let him go out to try to find him. They've been busy with work these past few days, so it understandable, but it pressed all of Helly's buttons.

"I promise I'll help you find him tomorrow. I'm sure he's alright anyways, he's always had faith in us, so lets have some faith in him." Amber said softly, smiling anxiously.

He couldn't take it anymore.

"So you'll let him die like Roy did?! You said Roy would be fine then, and then guess what! He wasn't! Now you're just going to say the same thing for Poli instead of actually doing something?! This is stupid! I'm looking for him!" Helly turned around and flew off, leaving Amber behind alone.

"Helly?! Come back! Helly!" Amber's voice faded into a soft echo as he flew further. Soon it was silence. The only thing he heard was the wind swooshing by.

Helly looked down over the town. He loved being above everything, looking down on it all. It was always peaceful, too high up for other's voices to be heard.

He thought about Poli, about Roy, about everything that had happened recently. He wished non of it had ever happened. Admittedly, as nice as Agnus seemed, he felt out of place here. Perhaps because he's so used to seeing Roy around that having someone new just felt wrong.

Roy was always like an older brother to him in a way. He was calm and understanding. He always tried to talk things over during a heated conversation. He respected and treated Helly like an adult. Like he could take care of himself.

He missed him so much. He missed everything about him. There had to have been something he could have done for him.

He sighed outwardly. I'm sure he misses us too. He thought to himself.

Helly was suddenly filled with determination. If there was something he could have done for Roy, there is something he will do for Poli.

As he was flying over a deep ravine, he saw a small cave entrance carved into the side. I may as well take a short break. He thought.

Helly landed inside the small opening. It was rather pretty inside, a small pool of water that glimmered as the sunlight hit it. He sat down on a small rock, relaxing a bit. After a few seconds, he got up again, feeling energized once more.

I should get back to it. Helly looked deep inside the cave for a few moments, as though expecting to see Poli inside. But of course, he wasn't there. He hesitated for a few moments before calling loudly into the cave.

"Poli? Poli are you in there?" He could hear his own voice echo throughout the cave. He waited a few heartbeats. Silence. He frowned, turning around to fly out. Just as he was about to exit the small entrance, he heard a soft, faded voice from somewhere behind him.

Helly whipped around, listening hard.

"Helly! Helly is that you?!" They called again.

Just by the sound of their voice, Helly knew who it was.

He'd found Poli.
