Dev Ki Sakshi ~

Author's Pov:

Hustle and bustle are going on in the sharma's house as the rajput family is coming to see their daughter Sakshi for their son Dev.

Mrs. Sharma - "Arey khana bana ki nahi abhi tak?!"

She said to the maids.

Maid - "Almost done mam."

She nodded and went away then came across naina, her daughter in law and wife of her elder son rudra.

Mrs. Sharma - "Beta sakshi ready huei ki nahi?"

Naina - "Mein check kar ke ati hu"

She walked towards Sakshi's bedroom and knocked on the door. Come in voice came from the other side. Naina pushed the door open and walked inside.
She saw Sakshi sitting in front of the mirror getting ready.

Y/n - "Bhabhi kesi lag rahi hu?"

She spoke.

Naina - "Bhout khoobsurat"

They both smiled at each other.

Y/n - "vo log agaye kya?"

Naina - "Abhi nahi"

She signed in relief.

Sakshi was dressed in a white with golden embroidery anaarkali with simple makeup, sliver jhumka's and open hair.

Later:

The rajput family left their mansion and drove towards sharma's home. In a while they reached and were welcomed in.
They hugged each other and shared loved words.

Dev was welcomed by sakshi's parents, and they all sat down on the couch and began talking.

Dev's Grandma - Apki Beti kaha hai? Use bulaaye"

Mr. Sharma nodded and gestured to nania. She walked to sakshi's bedroom and knocked on the door, sakshi opened the door.

Naina - "Come let's go, they came to see."

Sakshi - "Bhabhi I'm scared"

Naina - "Don't worry everything will be alright."

They came downstairs and everyone's eyes were on Sakshi who looked absolutely gorgeous. Dev who was wearing black shirt and pants with spectacles looked up to see her and was left speechless when he saw her who was smiling and talking to his mom. He couldn't help but stare at her. He was brought out of his thoughts when his siblings teased him. 

Arav:  "bhai itna bhi mat ghuro" 

He glared at him who then remained silent. His family began asking her questions to which she replied confidently and politely. He liked the way she speaks with everyone and her voice, her features were everything he wanted in a girl, soft facial features, hazel brown eyes, mole under her lips, beautiful set of collar bones and cute pair of peach rosy lips and her cheeks which were so squishy, jawline which wasn't that sharp but enough noticeable, her smile which made him smile back too, her body which wasn't too slim but not too chubby, her height which wasn't that tall but just tall enough for him just the way he likes it.    

Mr. Sharma: "dev?"

He snapped out of his thoughts and looked at her dad slightly embarrassed. Sakshi's dad asked him few questions to which he replied honestly. Meanwhile Sakshi looked at his face which was so handsome, clean shave, sharp jawline, black-brown eyes, his hands which were veiny and his body which was in such a good shape and his biceps which are huge and so squishable, his height which seemed 6'2. For her he seemed like a man out of a fictional book.

Their discussion ended and dev's grandma said. 

GM: "Your daughter is very pretty, well-mannered and intelligent too what else do we need in a girl for our dev?"

Mr. Sharma: "So is it a yes from your side?"

GM: "Let the kids first talk in private for some time?"

Mr. Sharma: "Yes, sure Sakshi beta go with dev in the garden" 

she nodded and got up from my place along with dev. They both walked in the garden first few seconds were awkward because none of them spoke anything and Sakshi was being way too shy with such a handsome man in front of her.

Dev: " Do you love someone else?" 

Sakshi: "No..I don't"

He hummed. 

Dev: "Do you want to work after our wedding?"

Sakshi: "No..I am not that interested in working right now but in future I may."

Dev: "I respect your choices, and no one is going to stop you from working in the future...I assure you that"

Sakshi: "thank you so much" 

She was really blown by his words and came to know he isn't a bad man; he is quite mature. Sakshi smiled at him sweetly to which Dev was froze in his place, he found her really attractive and cute. 

Dev: "It's fine.... are you by any chance forced in this marriage?"

Sakshi: "No... I agreed to it by my own will." 

Dev: "Are you sure about this relationship?" 

Sakshi: "Yes, you? 

Dev: "If you're ready I have no problem, Sakshi" 

the way her name rolled out his mouth gave her butterflies into her stomach. She found it so very attractive. They went back inside, and all family members were waiting for their answers. 

Dev: "It's a yes from me..I am willing to marry Sakshi" 

all eyes turned now towards Sakshi. 

Sakshi: "It's a yes from me too" 

Everyone was happy and congratulated each other and hugged. Dev's mom hugged Sakshi and kissed her cheek in a loving manner. 

Mrs. Rajput: "I'm so happy dear... thank you for saying yes"

Sakshi: "It's fine aunty don't thank me" 

Mrs. Rajput: "Call me mummy or Mumma anything you like" 

she nodded with a smile.
