Zara'sPov
Lwazi and I returned to our homeland, the familiar sights and sounds of South Africa filling me with a sense of
Belonging . Before continuing our trip to the Free State, we decided to make a stop at Mpumalanga to visit my loved parents, the King and Queen, at the royal palace.

As we approached the beautiful palace gates, memories of my childhood flooded back, and I felt a mix of excitement and feelings of being worried and upset to see my family once again. The palace grounds were very busy with activity as we were welcomed by the royal guards and servants.

My heart leaped with joy as I caught sight of my parents standing at the entrance, their rich and fancy figures showing warmth and love. The Queen rushed forward, her eyes full of tears of happiness as she enveloped me in a tight hug. "oh ngwanaka o boile!" she yelled, her voice filled with feeling of love.

The King stood beside her, a proud smile on his face as he greeted us. "Welcome home, ngwana wa ka," he said, his deep voice stirring up interest in authority and feeling of love.

We were led through the grand hallways of the palace to the gardens, where my brother Kgotso and his wife Ayanda were waiting for us. Kgotso's face lit up with a smile as he saw us, and Ayanda's gentle laughter filled the air, even though there is the existence of the extreme tiredness of her pregnancy.

We spent the day surrounded by the beauty of the palace, sharing stories and laughter with my family. The Queen's eyes sparkled with joy as she listened to stories of our fun trips in the city, and the King's booming laughter echoed through the halls.

As the sun began to set, we gathered around a fancy food-based celebration set up in the palace courtyard . The flickering torches cast a warm glow over our faces as we shared a meal fit for royalty, filled with love and laughter.

As I looked around at my family gathered together, I felt a very extreme sense of thankfulness and belonging. In that moment, surrounded by the ones I loved in the grand beauty of the royal palace, I knew that no matter where life took me, my heart would always remain connected to this place, to my home, to my family.
