Zara's POV
After our visit to Mpumalanga and a heartwarming reunion with my family, Lwazi and I returned to our humble home, the walls echoing with the memories of our shared trip. The warmth of our home surrounded us as we stepped through the door, the familiar scents of home bringing a sense of peace to my soul.As the sun dipped below the horizon , painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I watched as Lwazi prepared to go out, a look of strong desire about something in his eyes. I couldn't help but wonder where he was going, a sense of curiosity tugging at my mind.
With a calming/, Lwazi kissed my forehead and said, "I won't be long, standwa sam. Kunento okumele ngiyinakekele." And with that, he was out the door, leaving me alone in the quiet support of our home.
(Translation: There's something I need to take care off)As the minutes turned into hours, the stillness of the house wrapped around me like a comforting blanket. I busied myself with simple tasks, tidying up our living space and tending to the flickering flame of the fireplace.
In the quiet aloneness of the evening, memories of our time together flooded my mind - from the day we first met to our fun trip to Santorini and the tender moments we shared in the support of our love even though there is the existence of the uncertainties that lay ahead, there was a sense of comfort in knowing that we were together, united by a bond that went past the trials of our arranged marriage.
The gentle flicker of a candle cast dancing shadows on the walls as I waited for Lwazi's return. The night grew darker, the silence broken only by the distant chirping of crickets and the soft rustle of the evening breeze.
