Zara's POV
As we pulled into the driveway, I could feel the tension between us. Lwazi's silence was deafening, and I knew something was brewing.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to sound calm.
Lwazi didn't respond, just got out of the car and walked into the house. I followed, my heart racing.
"Listen, I know you're upset about Kagiso, but you have no right to be angry," I said, trying to reason with him.
Lwazi turned on me, his eyes blazing. "No right? You're the one who was all over your ex, and I'm not allowed to feel anything?"
I stood my ground. "I was just hugging an old friend, Lwazi. You're being unreasonable ."
"Unreasonable ?" he repeated, his voice rising. "uwena odlala ngomlilo, Zara. awazi lutho on how it feels to see you with someone else."
I crossed my arms, my anger matching his. "And you have no idea how it feels to be suffocated by your jealousy. You need to get over this, Lwazi. I'm not going to be held prisoner by your insecurities."
The words hung in the air, and for a moment, we just stared at each other. Then Lwazi turned and walked away, leaving me feeling frustrated and angry.
This wasn't the first time we'd fought about his jealousy, and I knew it wouldn't be the last. But I was tired of being held back by his fears. I deserved better, and I knew it.
As I watched him storm out of the room, I felt a surge of determination. I wouldn't let his anger control me
I stood my ground. "You don't have the right to walk away from this conversation, Lwazi. We're fixing this problem, uyathanda noma awuthandi."
The air was thick with tension as we stared each other down. I knew we were far from resolving this, but I was determined to see it through.
