Zara's POV

I agreed to go on the picnic with Lwazi, hoping we could finally address the issues between us. As we spread out the blanket in the park, I wore a comfortable yet stylish outfit - a flowy yellow sundress with white flowers, paired with brown sandals and a wide-brimmed hat to shield my face from the sun. My hair was tied up in a messy bun.

As we sat down, Lwazi poured out his heart, apologizing for his mistakes and promising to do better. I listened intently, my expression softening as he spoke. For the first time, I saw genuine remorse in his eyes.

We talked for hours, working through our issues and finding common ground. I began to see Lwazi in a new light, as a man willing to grow and learn from his mistakes. My heart began to open up, and I considered forgiving him.

As we packed up the remains of our picnic, I felt a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, we could move forward together.

But then, as we walked towards the car, I heard a familiar voice calling out my name. "Zara! Zara, ke wena?"

I turned to see Kagiso, my old college friend, grinning at me from a few feet away. We hadn't seen each other in years, and I was thrilled to reunite with him. I ran towards him, arms open wide, and we shared a warm hug.

Lwazi's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he watched us embrace. I didn't notice at first, too caught up in the moment with Kagiso. But as we pulled back and chatted, I saw Lwazi's discomfort and realized he was jealous.

"Kagiso, this is Lwazi, my... um, husband ," I said, unsure how to introduce him.

Kagiso's eyes flicked to Lwazi, and he smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you, Lwazi. hlokomela mosadi o, okay?"

Lwazi nodded curtly, his eyes still fixed on me. I felt a sense of unease, realizing his jealousy was still a raw nerve. But I pushed it aside, focusing on the joy of reconnecting with Kagiso.

As we parted ways, promising to catch up soon, I turned to Lwazi and saw the tension in his body. "Hey, asikhulume ngalokhu," I said, taking his hand.

But Lwazi just shook his head and kept walking, his silence speaking volumes. I sighed, knowing we still had work to do to rebuild our relationship. But I was willing to try, for both our sakes.
