Zara's POV

I slammed the door behind me, escaping into my bedroom sanctuary. But the pain followed me, echoing off the walls. I couldn't escape the truth. My husband, Lwazi, had betrayed me in the worst way possible.

I devoured every article, every blog post, every social media comment. The more I read, the angrier I became. How could he do this to me? To us? To our marriage?

Tears streaming down my face, I called the one person who would understand, my older brother Tau. I didn't care that he wasn't at our wedding ceremonies; he was always there for me.

"Tau, it's me, Zara," I sobbed, my voice shaking.

"Hey, sis, what's wrong?" his deep voice was calm, but I knew he'd switch to protector mode soon.

"Lwazi...he cheated on me, Tau. At a club, in front of everyone!" I wailed.

Tau's tone shifted, his anger palpable. "That dog! ke boa gae, Zara. I'll be there for you."

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "Thank you, Tau. I need you."
