Sunshine lay in her bed in Poppy's room, unable to go back to sleep. She'd woken early but the small sounds coming from Sprite's room had her fighting with herself.

The sounds were crying. Sprite was crying. Sunshine wasn't sure whether she would be the person they'd want to talk to. After all, they'd only known each other for a few weeks. Any of the other Rogues would have been much better suited for calming them down but Sunshine couldn't sleep. She couldn't just drift off knowing that they were in pain.

Eventually, she inhaled sharply and stood up, determined to go help them. Even if it was just letting Sprite know she was there, she needed a way to give them comfort.

Careful not to wake anyone, she crept through the main area and across to Sprite's door, slowly pushing it open.

The small ghoul shot up instantly, trying to hide their tears. Sunshine just sighed sadly, wandering over to sit on the end of the bed. They backed up slightly, bringing their legs into their chest.

"Do you want to talk about it?" The question was simple but, for Sprite's crazed mind, it was a riddle tangled with confusion. They hummed back quietly, their eyes drifting slightly up but not enough to face them. It was a sign they were listening though so Sunshine continued the conversation for them. "I'm not sure if I'm really the one you'd want to talk to right now. I just didn't want to wake anyone else up." Sprite hummed again.

Whatever state it was that they were in, Sprite clearly wasn't able to or simple didn't want to talk. Sunshine took that as a sign to change techniques, opting for a less conversational aproache.

She shuffled towards them slowly, making sure to keep a close eye on their aura and body language. She didn't want to make things any worse. Eventually, she was sat directly next to them and she opened her arms, offering a hug.

Sprite hadn't even looked at her properly, but they slowly drifting towards her, excepting the embrace. Their expression was blank but their aura showed just how much it was helping.

Sunshine made sure to be careful, cradling them gently and slowly rocking back and forth. She used the small amount of Air ghoul's influence that she, as a multi ghoul, possessed to help calm their mind as she tryed her best to comfort them. The embrace was spent in a peaceful silence, which seemed to be helping Sprite, if their occasional satisfied sighs were anything to go off.

After quite a while longer than Sunshine had expected it to take, Sprite was finally calm and they were happily curled up in her arms. Sunshine smiled down at them, watching their aura glisten and shimmer gently, like it was covered in glitter. It wasn't much in comparison to a shadow ghoul's, which was outrageously beautiful on sight, but so long as she payed close attention their's was really a sight to behold.

"Do you always stare at people like that?" Sunshine jumped slightly at the sudden question, realising that Sprite was gazing up at her.

"Oh, sorry, I was just..."

"My aura, right?" Sprite finished her sentence for her. "Yeah, a seer's always has a few little differences from the norm."

Sunshine raised a brow. "That pattern's caused by being a seer?"

"Not exactly." Sprite explained. "A pattern is caused by being a seer. But what that pattern is is different for each ghoul. The ones that can only be seen upon closer inspection are the ones that belong to the seers with side effect, like I mentioned before."

She nodded, slowly wrapping her head around the information.

She paused for a moment and Sprite could tell there was something she wanted to ask. "Go on. Spill it."
