"Dude, you're growling again."

Prince turned to face Bismuth who was sat on the sofa beside him. The air ghoul was giving him a knowing look and Prince snarled, averting his gaze and trying again to keep himself under control.

The rest of Sunshine's pack, as well as the Rogues, had gathered in the lounge of their lair to hang out and play games. Sunshine's mates were playing some sort of video game and competing against Swiss and Sodo, while Aether stood off to the side, watching them. Bismuth and Prince had decided to sit back and watch the chaos as well.

What had caught Prince's attention though was Em and Rain, who were chatting and laughing together like an old married couple.

He couldn't tare his gaze off Em. She had the most radiant smile and a gorgeous sparkle in her eyes as she laughed at whatever Rain had just said.

She was so perfect.

Just clearly not perfect for him judging by how fond she was of this new water ghoul.

Prince sighed angrily, glaring at Rain. He was joking and laughing with her, gazing at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world. Which she was.

His eyes focused on the water ghoul's hand that had a firm grip on Em's arm, trying to steddy her as she continued to loose herself to the joy he was bringing her. His grip was strong, almoust possessive. Prince snarled again, trying to keep his temper in check and failing dismally.

"Dude, seriously." Bismuth interjected, snapping him out of his thoughts again.

Prince huffed and stood suddenly, marching out of the room. He could hardly bear to watch Em and that damn water ghoul flirting any longer without pouncing on the young Clergy ghoul.

He sauntered back to the room he'd been given, shutting the door behind him a little harsher than he'd intended, the scene of Em and Rain laughing together still ingrained in his head. It was sickening.

He breathed a sigh of relief once he was alone in his room. At least he wouldn't have to watch the two water ghouls getting close with one another anymore.

"Prince?" It was Cirrus. She sounded concerned.

"Shit." He whispered, turning to open the door and forcing a smile as he greeted her. "Did you need something?"

Cirrus frowned, clearly able to see his turmoil in his aura. "We were about to start on dinner and Bismuth said you might be able to help?"

Of course he did.

Prince sighed, stepping fully out of his room and following her to the kitchen. "He didn't make me seem like some sort of master chef, did he? Because, if he did, he lied."

Cirrus chuckled. "No, he just said it might be good for you. A distraction, apparently. Something on your mind then?"

Prince frowned, not entirely sure how he was supposed to explain to her that he was jealous of one of her pack mates for being friendly with a ghoulette that he wasn't even in a relationship with. Not an official one at least.

"Nothing specific. There's just a lot going on right now." He answered, trying to make it seem like his mental distress was just from the Zafer Rokur and the recent incidents with Santos' cult.

Cirrus hummed in reply but said nothing more, continuing to lead him to the kitchen where an uncooked dinner was waiting.

As soon as they'd arrived though, Prince instantly regretted agreeing to help when he saw Rain and Em there as well. The water ghoul seemed to be stepping in for Mountain, who was the usual chef of the pack but was currently away with the other earth and multi ghouls, and Em was obviously just there to hang out with him some more.
