FIVE YEARS AGO
Felix's pov:-
29 January 2018
As we sat in the cab, headed to our second destination, my nerves were already on edge. I couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty, wondering if Hyunjin would like what I had planned. The cold weather outside only added to my anticipation, but somehow, it felt right.
The night was upon us, and the sky shimmered with stars, casting a magical glow over everything. The moon hung high in the sky, a silent witness to our journey. "We're here, Mr. Lee," the driver's voice broke through my thoughts, signaling our arrival.
We stepped out of the cab, thanking the driver and settling the fare. Standing on the sidewalk, I couldn't help but steal a glance at Hyunjin, hoping he was as excited as I was for what lay ahead..
The path we followed led us through a small forest, where towering trees formed a canopy overhead, casting intricate patterns of shadows on the ground below. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the earthy scent of pine and damp moss.
"Woah, are you kidnapping me, Lixie?" Hyunjin quipped, his tone laced with amusement.
"Do you mind getting kidnapped by me?" I replied, a playful giggle escaping my lips. He shook his head with a smile, his eyes alight with curiosity and excitement.
Taking his hand in mine, I guided him along the winding path, our footsteps crunching softly on the forest floor. The sound of the waterfall grew louder with each passing moment, a steady rhythm that echoed through the trees.
"Close your eyes, Hyune," I instructed gently, and he complied without hesitation, trusting me implicitly.
Stopping at the spot, I turned to Hyunjin, his eyes still closed in anticipation. "Open your eyes, Jinnie," I whispered, my heart fluttering with nervous excitement.
As Hyunjin slowly opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of the waterfall cascading down into a crystal-clear pool below, illuminated by the moonlight filtering through the surrounding trees. The sound of rushing water filled the air, creating a soothing symphony that echoed through the tranquil forest.
Hyunjin's eyes widened in awe as he took in the breathtaking scene before him. "Wow," he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. "Felix, this is... incredible."
I smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me at his reaction. "I'm glad you like it," I said softly, feeling a surge of warmth at the sight of his genuine appreciation.
His face lighted up as he focused on the scenery in front of him. And just like that he admired the scenery in front of him while I silently admired him.
"I could stay here for hours with you, Hyune, but it's getting dark, and I want to show you something special," I said, tearing my gaze away from him to look out at the waterfall. He turned to me, his eyes widening with curiosity.
