Hyunjin's POV:-

"Yuna, c'mon, please," I pleaded, shooting her my best puppy eyes as she lounged on the couch.

"Nope, no, nah," she replied firmly, not budging an inch.

"But whyyy?" I whined like a kid.

"Because you don't deserve it," she shot back.

"Fine, I'll call Nana and complain about you," I threatened playfully, flashing her a mischievous grin.

"Don't you dare, Jin," she warned, rising from the couch and handing me the box of cupcakes she'd bought. "Aw, thank you, my dearest sister," I said, giving her a quick hug before snatching the box.

"Yah, you monster, save some for me," she called out as she settled back into her spot.

It had been a week since I returned from the hospital to my home. The freedom to move around on my own felt like a luxury. Though I still had to stick to my medication routine, it was a routine I'd grown accustomed to.

"Do you think Mom and Dad are going to take us on their anniversary trip as well?" Yuna asked, breaking the silence.

I grabbed a chocolate cupcake from the box and savoured each bite before replying, "Hmm... I guess so. But honestly, I don't want to go."

"I think Mr. and Mrs. Lee will insist on Rachel and Felix joining us this time. After all, Felix wasn't even here for the last few years ," Yuna remarked.

"Yeah, you're probably right. That does make sense," I conceded, nodding in agreement as I continued to indulge in my cupcake.

"Can you imagine being best friends with someone since childhood, then having a wedding on the same day, and then starting a business together? Wow, I really can't," Yuna sighed, shaking her head in disbelief.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her comment. "I don't have to imagine, that's the exact story of the famous Hwang and Lee family," I quipped, a hint of amusement in my voice.

"By the way It's Rachel's birthday in two days," she exclaimed excitedly. "Wait, how did I forget that?" I said, a hint of surprise in my voice. "Ah, how can you? She's literally the best," she spoke dramatically.

"Is she hosting a party, or are Mr. and Mrs. Lee going to host?" I inquired, curious about the birthday plans. Rachel was like an older sister for me, she has always been supportive of me and made sure I was okay all the time when we went to the same school.

"Duh, isn't it obvious that Felix is the one who's going to host?" she asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement. "Wait, really?" I exclaimed, sitting up eagerly now. "Mhm, he talked to me about it, and we're even going shopping today," she replied. Oh.

As she scrolled through her phone, a sense of curiosity gnawed at me, urging me to voice the question that had been lingering in my mind. "Are you still trying to get closer to Lix?" I finally asked, unable to contain my curiosity any longer.

"Mhm, we've been talking quite a lot nowadays," she replied, a hint of excitement evident in her voice. "He even promised me a coffee for today's shopping help," she added, a smile playing on her lips.

A wave of conflicting emotions washed over me as I listened to her talk about her interactions with him. Part of me wanted to confront her, to tell her that he was mine and to stay away from him. But another part of me knew that I couldn't, not yet at least. She was my sister, and I wasn't out to my family. So instead, I buried my feelings deep down inside, putting on a facade of nonchalance as I forced a smile and nodded along to her words.
