Felix's POV :-
Everything was dark around me, the space feeling like it was shrinking and trapping me inside.
“Huh, you thought I’d leave you alone so easily?” A familiar voice pierced through the silence—one I never wanted to hear again. The voice echoed in my head, growing louder and harder to bear. I struggled to breathe, tried to run, but dizziness overwhelmed me and I collapsed.
Tears streamed down my face as I cried out for help, but no one was there to hear or save me.
Sweat soaked my skin as I panted heavily, when suddenly...
*Beep beep beep*
The alarm jolted me awake. Ugh, the same nightmare again. Just my luck. I quickly checked the time—it was 7:30 a.m. Today was my first day at a new university, and I didn’t want to be late. I’m Lee Felix, and bad luck seems to follow me everywhere.
I jumped out of bed, took a quick shower, and got dressed in a light pink sweatshirt and white pants. I applied a touch of makeup and styled my hair—fashion comes first, no matter what.
I’d chosen to live in a dorm close to the university, leaving my parents four hours away. I felt a mix of fear and excitement about living on my own, but honestly, I was thrilled to leave my old place behind. I’d been dreaming of this moment since high school.
I was eager to start this new chapter with my best friend and soulmate, Han Jisung. His home was close to mine, and just seeing his name pop up on my phone made me smile.
I answered his call, and his energetic voice brightened my day.
“BBOOOKIEEE GOOD MORNINGGG! Wait, you woke up on time? Did you even sleep? Any nightmares? Ready to go? Did you eat breakfast—”
“HANNIEEEE GOOD MORNING! Take a deep breath. Yes, I woke up on time, had the nightmare again, I’m ready, and no, I haven’t eaten yet, but I’ll grab something on the way.”
He sighed. “Okay, bokkie, I’m on my way. I’ll be there in about 5 minutes. You better be ready.”
“Yes, Dad, I’m already,” I teased in a high-pitched voice.
“YAHH HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU—”
I hung up, laughing.
Han picked me up, and as promised, we stopped by a café for breakfast. I was nervous, but his presence made me feel more excited than anxious.
I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Fashion Design, while Han is studying fashion business management. Unfortunately, we only have a few classes together, which is a shame. Fashion is my passion—it’s a field full of creativity that always inspires me. After completing my first year in Australia, I’m starting my second year in Seoul due to unforeseen circumstances. That’s a story for another time.
Han noticed I was lost in thought and asked, “Hey, everything alright? You seemed a bit distracted.”
I flashed him a reassuring smile. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just lost in my own thoughts.”
“Good. Let’s head in. If you start feeling off, let me know, okay?” he said gently.
“Absolutely. Thanks for looking out for me,” I replied. We quickly got out of the car and headed inside.
