Hyunjin's POV:-

After three hours of non-stop shopping, my legs were on the verge of giving up. I couldn't believe we were still walking and how they both were still hyped up about everything. I couldn't help but wonder if we truly needed everything we were buying.

"Do we actually need this?" I groaned, as Felix handed me yet another bag to carry. "Yes, we do," he replied with a smile as he continued to check items off the list.

I had never imagined that birthday shopping could be such a big deal. Yuna and Felix were on a mission, scouring the stores for everything on Rachel's birthday wish list. From glittering confetti to an array of colourful balloons and twinkling lights, they seemed to be collecting everything in sight. The list seemed endless.

As we finished shopping for the decoration items we found ourselves standing in the middle of the mall. I stood silently waiting for them to decide what they wanted to do next.

"Yun, I think I'll go check out the jewellery store to see if I can find something for her there," Felix suggested. "Sure, that sounds like a plan. You and Hyunjin can go check there, and I'll see what I can find elsewhere," Yuna replied, nodding in agreement. "Give us a call when you're done," I added.

With a nod, we split up, Yuna heading in one direction while I followed Felix towards the jewellery store.

"I'm sorry for making you walk so much... Are you okay? Nothing's hurting, right?" Felix's concern was evident as he stopped us in a corner of the mall.
Well that's how it had been for a month, I had to go and come back home from Uni because of sudden pain in the area where the surgery took place. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine," I reassured him, smiling warmly. "Just promise me you'll tell me if anything starts to hurt," he said, extending his pinky finger towards me. "Of course, I promise," I replied, leaning down and giving a peck to his pinky finger.

"Hey, you're not supposed to do that," he protested playfully. "Well, my hands are full of bags," I retorted, holding up the numerous shopping bags. "Fair point," he added with a chuckle.

After finally finding the jewellery store, we stepped inside. The staff kindly offered us a space to store our bags, which was a relief as it allowed us to shop freely without the burden of carrying them around. I felt a sense of relief with my hands now free.

Lost in the array of jewelry, I followed Felix like a loyal puppy as he looked at the various bracelets on display, explaining to the staff what he was searching for. To let him take his time, I found myself standing in a corner, quietly admiring him.

"Hello sir, are you looking for anything?" A voice suddenly interrupted my thoughts, pulling me back to the present moment. A staff member who looked like she was in her thirties or something.

I shook my head, offering a polite smile. "No, thank you. I'm just accompanying someone here," I replied.

But the staff member's eyes flicked to Felix, and then back to me with a knowing look. "Is he your boyfriend, the man you're looking at? Do you want anything for him?" she inquired, a hint of curiosity in her voice.

I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks at the directness of her question. "Um, well... no he's not," I stumbled over my words, unsure of how to respond.

"I'm sorry if I overstepped," she said with a sympathetic smile. "Please let me know if you need any assistance."

"Oh, no need to apologize," I said, trying to ease the awkwardness. "It's just kind of complicated right now.. so I can say not yet?."

"Oh, I see," she replied with a knowing smile.

"Well, what do you have that I can gift him?" I asked feeling my cheeks already burning red.
