Yuna - Rookie

Sorry I severely lacked the motivation to write, anyways no smut for Yuna and I have very basic knowledge on how motocross works.

'THE NEXT F/N L/N!? NEW ROOKIE ENTERS THE PLAYING FIELD'

That was the headline and the gossip surrounding the women's motocross world. Y/n scoffed and rolled her eyes at all the talk that she read online.

"God they are seriously bigging up this rivalry and we havent even met. Are they so sick of me winning they need to spice it up for everyone?" Y/n voiced chuckling at how ridiculous the story was, as she eyed the picture of this new sensation in women's motocross.

"I mean it would be good for publicity....especially because shes signed to our biggest competitors, the Kawasaki team." Y/ns manager Dahyun added. Y/n turned her attention towards the monolidded woman and hummed, her thirst for competition apparent.

"I suppose....anyways I'm heading out. Get some rest for the race tomorrow. Night Dahyun...." Y/n stood up from the flimsy chair in the temporary garage assigned to her team at the race circuit and bid her farewell.

After a good night's rest it was race day in the women's motocross championship, the heat was quite unbearable. Wearing a protective racesuit and hauling a bike across the country wasn't ideal in this temperature so it was important for Y/n to stay hydrated today.

Y/n knew the rookie was going to be in attendance today so she wanted to put on a show and prove why she's the best. She wouldn't be joining the championship roster until after the mid season break. After suiting up at the last minute she hopped on her Yamaha bike as her team did the final touches making sure it was race ready, even though by the end of the race the bike will be covered with mud splatters.

"Good luck Y/n! Race well!" Dahyun hollered raising a fist, Y/n raised her gloved fist back at her before pulling down her goggles from her helmet. Kickstarting the motor bike she revved the engine a few times and then pulled out the garage.

Having a little drive around and a few practice jumps she was raring to go. All the riders lined up on the start line alert and ready to throttle it. Y/n although was first in the championship standings, tended to start the races almost in the middle of the pack. Allowing fellow riders to battle it out, the first few turns being hectic and avoided putting to much pressure on herself to make sure an unnecessary mistake wasn't made.

The lights changed to green an off they went the roar of 30 motocross bikes blasted out. The adrenaline kicked in and Y/n honed in on her race focus. Once the pack spread out, she made her move trusting in her abilities and over taking where many would not.

She had moved to top 5 within a couple of laps, the heat wasn't helping anyone today it was sweltering in her suit. Y/n couldn't afford to think about that at the moment, eyeing current 4th place rider who was in her sights.

Pulling on the throttle she shifted up a gear, there was a jump coming up that once landed there would be little time to the next turn downhill. Y/n sped up towards the jump angling across it from left to right to take the inside line, the rider in front was blindsided by the action. Having only just landed had no way to cut Y/n off heading towards the sharp turn downhill, by the time the other rider had reacted Y/n had the momentum and speed to over take on the bend and accelerate off earning excited roars from the crowd.

It was only a matter of time before Y/n ended up at the front of the pack, managing to hold off the couple of riders close behind and take the win. Crossing the finish line in style, she hyped the crowd in the area as cheers came at her.

She pulled into the winners enclosure closely followed by 2nd and 3rd. She felt herself over heating now that the adrenaline and need to focus was wearing off. Parking up her bike in the 1st spot she kicked down the stand switching the engine off and hopped off quickly.
