I walked over to get a closer look ,his eye was swollen, his bottom lip was swollen, his nose was bleeding ,his knuckles were bleeding, his shirt was torn. He was fucked up bad.

NALEDI: Kendrick did this to you?

KARABELO: Yes all because I didn't want to tell him where we live.

NALEDI: I don't understand. O re he beat you up because...

KARABELO: What don't you understand aus'Naledi. Your crazy ex beat the shit out of me because I was fucking protecting you. Look at me!

NALEDI: Okay uhmm let me fetch the first aid kit and see how I can help you out. Wa bona le wena you shouldn't have left the house and went ha Lihle.

KARABELO: Oh so you're blaming me? Really?
He said folding his arms livid.

NALEDI: Ofcourse I'm not. Zwide can help me sort him out ,you'll have to tell us every detail Karabelo.

KARABELO: Nah I don't want your lil boyfriend thinking I'm weak or something.

NALEDI: Obatla Kendrick oa trappe hape?
He shook his head and looked away and Zwide came walking down the stairs.

MPHO: Hi Mr Zwide.

ZWIDE: Hi miss Mpho, how you doing?

MPHO:Could be better, you still got your snacks from last night?

ZWIDE: Yeah check in the kitchen.
I must say I'm glad Mpho doesn't hate Zwide.  I kind of like their little relationship.

ZWIDE: Karabelo. What happened to you?

NALEDI: He got beat up by Kendrick.
His face immediately changed . He turned Karabelos face to examine his wounds but Karabelo threw his hand away.

KARABELO: Look im fine,I just need a place to sleep.

ZWIDE: What you need to do is tell us what happened.

KARABELO: Hebanna, I don't need to tell you anything.

NALEDI: How do you expect us to help you if osa bue?

KARABELO: Keng ka ntho e ya hao ya tlisa banna maphelong a rona. Ha mthako a kare bolaya ,o tla etsang? Bona nou ex ya hao fucked me up. Just please give me a break Naledi ,I'm dealing with too much already.

NALEDI: Dealing with what? You're dealing with alot ?Ska tlong nyela wena .I had to fucking raise the both of you and wena o tlo bua tsa di break mo. Give ME a fucking break Karabelo.
He started tearing up and breaking down. I just don't understand why he won't talk to me.

NALEDI: Karabelo bua le nna.
I said trying to keep him up. I looked at Zwide not knowing what to do.

KARABELO: Its mama and papa's anniversary today. It just feels like I'm forgetting them day by day you know.

NALEDI: I know and it's not easy having to continue life without your parents but I want you to know you're not alone Belo.
I said as he got up and wiped his tears.

KARABELO: Thank you aus'Naledi for always being there for us ,supporting us.

NALEDI: Get up and be strong . Be a good example for Mpho. Zwide is not the enemy here Kendrick is do you understand me?
He turned to look at Zwide .

KARABELO: I still don't trust you, I never will but I'll respect because I respect my sister and if you break her heart I'll fuck you up like how Kendrick did to me.

ZWIDE: I can work with that.
They shook on it and I helped Karabelo clean his wounds.

I went to our bedroom...OUR bedroom, since when did Zwides stuff become mine?
To think of it I'm not even in a relationship with him ,I'm actually under his protection like some secret under cover spy thingy and I can't even begin trying to have serious conversations with him because all he does is push me away if I do. Seeing a glimpse of how scary he can get ,I honestly don't want to get on his nerves.

I got into bed and he was already about to sleep.
ZWIDE: You don't have to worry about Kendrick. Leave him to me.
He said snuggling on top of my belly.

NALEDI: What are you planning on doing?

ZWIDE: Killing him.

NALEDI: Woah!

ZWIDE: Kumele abulawe ngalento ayenza kuKarabelo.
He said coming up to my level.

NALEDI: I really don't think that's necessary Zwide. 

ZWIDE: Well I think it is. Now robala ,it's late.

NALEDI: Mxm ,you always like having the final say.

ZWIDE: Yes. Now sleep.
