CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR
UNCOMFORTABLE SCENARIOS
The month now February, and Aaron's problems only seemed to be getting worse.
The boy now absolutely hated going to school, much different to how he used to be.
But Aaron figured that it would be difficult for anyone to actually enjoy going to school when dealing with what he found himself dealing with.
On one hand he had that older boy Charlie harassing him at any possible moment, much like he did with many other students. However just because the older boy did it to others, it didn't mean that it made it any easier on the blond.
And on the other hand he now didn't see Mike or Dustin at all. Not unless they all happened to be at Lucas' basketball games together, then they'd all talk. But anyone would be able to tell it was a little awkward. The only other time Aaron would really hear from them was when they would show up in front of him out of the blue and practically plead with him to play D&D for one afternoon in place of someone else.
Usually in school all his time was either spent alone, at practice or with Kimmy.
He didn't see much of Lucas in school. Lucas usually sat with his teammates at lunch but on occasion he would come sit with Aaron and Kimmy, but that was fine. The two were most definitely still each other's best friends, they saw each other almost everyday after school.
Aaron was glad that Kimmy was starting to see more of Max, but it still wasn't a lot.
Occasionally Max would call her and they'd go do something - but that was on rare occasion. Kimmy didn't really hear from her friend all that often, but still, it was more than anyone else heard from her.
Aaron was on his way to his biology class, one of his classes that year that had neither Kimmy or Lucas in it.
Because of this, the blond kept to himself in that class, put his head down and got on with it. He didn't have anyone to talk to, so he didn't have any distractions. Meaning, his grades had been great all year, he'd never got below an A on a test in that class.
While walking through the halls of the school, Aaron realised just how much he didn't fit in. He was actually part of a club that was filled with typical popular kids, and yet Aaron couldn't have been more of the opposite.
The boy scrunched his face up and rolled his eyes in annoyance at the sight of two kids the year above him making out right next to his locker, therefore stopping the boy being able to actually get into his locker to put his history books back.
Aaron didn't know why so many people deemed it fit to make out in the school hallways, or anywhere so public for that matter. Nothing made Aaron more uncomfortable than having to watch such public displays of affection.
He and Kimmy never made out in front of their friends, and especially not in the school hallway.
Aaron thought it was just awkward and unnecessary, if he wanted to make out with his girlfriend, he would do it. He didn't need half the world knowing or watching.
He realised that he didn't actually know what Kimmy thought about it, although he couldn't imagine that she would feel comfortable if he just walked up in the school hallway and kissed her in front of everyone either.
