CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT
RESCUED

Only after what felt like hours later were the trio all conscious once more. Each of them practically limp as they leaned against each other.

Truthfully, Aaron didn't really feel any side effects to whatever it was the three had been drugged with. Well, nothing negative anyway. He didn't feel anything.

In fact, he was stuck in a daze, everything a blur to him as he blinked slowly.

He couldn't even feel the soreness of his injuries anymore, but Aaron knew that this was because of the drugs pumping through him, not because his injuries were actually better.

Besides from the blond still finding it difficult to breathe, he didn't have any reminder of his injuries.

"Honestly, I don't really feel anything." Steve mumbled, sounding to be in just as much of a daze as Aaron was. "Do you guys?"

It took Aaron a little longer to process his brothers words due to the drugs he had been injected with, it taking the boy a moment before he replied.

"No." Aaron replied in a dazed voice, keeping his answer short as he tried and failed to recollect himself.

"I mean, I... I feel fine." Robin replied after a long pause, her voice slurring the slightest bit as she spoke. "I feel normal."

Aaron knew something was wrong with what he had been drugged with when he couldn't even remember the question that Steve had asked the two or who Robin was answering.

"I feel kinda good." Steve mumbled to the pair, chuckling slightly as he spoke.

"Me too." Aaron hummed in response, a breathy laugh leaving his lips as he fought through his brain to find some sort of jumble of words. "It's like... um... I can't remember. What's it called again, Steve? You know... the- the stuff you take when you're drunk?"

Steve hummed in thought, pausing for a moment as he tried to remember what Aaron was referencing. Suddenly he gasped in realisation. "Oh, um... weed."

"Yeah," Aaron snickered in response, his eyes flickering shut as he leaned his head back against either Robin or Steve's shoulder, he was now unsure who was on what side of him. "I feel like how, uh, how you say you feel when you... um, take that shit."

"Me too." Steve mumbled, nodding his head slowly in response. "I feel buzzed."

"Want to know a secret?" Robin began laughing hysterically, Aaron beginning to laugh as well even though Aaron didn't actually know what he was laughing at.

"What?" Aaron mumbled, hardly able to remember what Robin had said already.

"I feel buzzed, too!" Robin laughed, Aaron laughing unsurely along with the girl, simply because he felt like he should just because she was laughing. Aaron couldn't even remember what she had said that was so funny in the first place.

"I feel good." Steve muttered, he too beginning to laugh along with the pair. "Morons, they messed up the drug."

Aaron laughed harder at that, despite the fact that he was already finding it difficult to breath due to his injuries as it was.

"They messed us up!" Robin laughed along with the pair, leaning her head back as she did so.

"Hey, morons!" Aaron yelled as loud as he could through laughs, pausing for a minute as he tried to fight against the drugs hitting him as he tried to form a sentence. "Hey, morons! You fucked us up! Id-idiots."
