- Chapter 11: Apologies -

Vaggie entered the elevator and pressed on the floor 15 button. She felt a bit nervous cause this would be her first heart-to-heart conversation with her future Father-in-law. The elevator dinged, as the doors opened, distracting her from her thoughts. She sighed as she stepped out and went right, heading over to Lucifer's room. She knocked on his door, which had apples and ducks drawn onto it. A few seconds later, Lucifer answered his door. He looked okay, but he had noticeable tear stained cheeks.

V: "Uh, hello sir."

L: "Hello Maggie! Please, just called me Lucifer."

V: "It's Vaggie s-... Lucifer... May I come in?"

L: "Oh... yea sure."

Lucifer opened the door fully so Vaggie. Vaggie hesitated at first, but headed right in. Lucifer closed the door behind them, not wanted anyone uninvited to ruin their conversation.

L: "Here! Sit down!"

Lucifer took out his desk chair and sit down in the edge of the bed. Vaggie sat on the chair as she sighed.

V: "I'm so sorry about what Charlie said... she is also very sorry too... she didn't really mean it but... her mom was there most of her life and-"

L: "Vaggie, don't worry! It's fine. I understand that Charlie is not ready to accept our divorce right now and that she need her time. I'm not mad at her or anything."

V: "Okay that's a relief. It's just that ever since she found out I was a fallen angel she's gained a bit of trust issues and-"

L: "Vaggie it's fine! Fallen angel or not, she still loves you very dearly! And I still accept your relationship! I'm a fallen angel myself so I can kind of relate with what you went through. about the trust issues.. everyone is bond to have them eventually."

V: "...You are such a good father... I don't know why Charlie's mom said that you weren't."

L: "Well, back then Lilith didn't want me seeing Charlie since I wouldn't take the responsibility of ruling over Hell seriously."

V: " I can see her point... but that's still not a valuable reason to keep her daughter away from her father causing her 'daddy issues'."

L: "And I agree with you, but all of that's in the past now, no possible way to go back in time. But now I'm doing my best to be a better dad, and that is what counts right now, right?"

V: "I guess... you are right."

L: "Oh, and one more thing, I saw you with a red small box and a ring inside yesterday."

Vaggie turned red at the mention of this. She hadn't told anyone about it and knowing that Lucifer was the first one to know made her nervous.

L: "Hey! Don't worry! You have my blessing. You have proven yourself loyal."

Vaggie sighed in relief and smiled.

V: "Thank you..."

L: "No biggie! My little duckling was bound to get married someday. Now let me see the ring!"

Lucifer's eyes sparkled like a proud mom and Vaggie chuckled a bit as she took out the red velvet colored box and opened it, showing the ring.

L: "Wow.. it's beautiful!"

V: "I hope she says yes..."

L: "Oh honey, I'm sure she will! Trust me!"

Vaggie smiled as she put the box in her pocket again.

L: "When do you plan on proposing? Maybe I could help!"

V: "Well... I was planning this very weekend, I just don't know how? Usually, Charlie is the one who sets up our dates."

L: "Hmmm.. have you thought about going to the Hell's Flames' restaurant in Lulu's World, Lovers Side?

V: "I have, but I don't have that much to pay for it all-"

L: "I'll pay it."

V: "Wha-"

L: "Shush, I'll cover everything."

Vaggie stood there in disbelief. Lucifer smiled warmly at her and he took her hands in his.

L: "Don't you worry, anything for you and Charlie."

Vaggie smiled, nodding. She and Lucifer got up and went to the door, leaving Lucifer's room. Meanwhile, Husk, Angel Dust and Cherry were downstairs in the kitchen explaining what had happened to Alastor and Nifty. Charlie was also sitting near by, sulking and worrying about her dad. She didn't mean to snap back, but that is what her mother left in her mind before leaving for 7 years.

ChB: "And then the king teleported away! God you missed so much drama!"

AD: "You should have been here Smiles!"

A: "I see. I should have been.~"

Ch: "Guys... could you please stop talking about what happened between me and my dad?.."

AD: "Yeaaaa sorry sweetie that ain't happeni-"

H: "Angel... maybe we should change subjects. Can't you see Charlie is upset."

AD: "Geez fine... sorry toots.."

Ch: "It's fine... thanks Husk..."

Just then, Vaggie and Lucifer entered the kitchen. Everyone looked at them except Charlie, who was looking at the floor in shame.

ChB: "Uh, Charlie?"

AD: "Toots... short king and moth are here.

Charlie's head shot up as she saw the two together. She stood up and ran over them, hugging them both. Tears started to fall onto their shirts. Both of them hugged Charlie back, patting her back.

Ch: I-I'm so sorry!!! I didn't mean it!!! I promise I'm happy for you, for moving on..."

L: "Charlie it's fine! Me and Ma-Vaggie had a small talk."

Ch: "B-But that was so mean of me!!"

V: "Charlie it's okay! Your dad forgives you. He's not even mad."

Charlie looked down at them both, tears in the corner of her eyes.

Ch: "You-.. You do? Wah that means so much!!"

Charlie cried on both of their shoulders. Vaggie was used to this but Lucifer looked a bit awkward. He didn't know what to do she he patted her back awkwardly.

L: "There there?.."

A: "As much as I would love for this.... bonding time to continue... I'm afraid me and his highness have some business to get to right away.~"

L: "We do?"

Alastor glared at Lucifer, before looking back at Vaggie. Vaggie took Charlie in her arms bride style and Alastor walked up to Lucifer.

A: "Yes, we do... my king.~"

Lucifer looked up at the much taller demon confused. Nether the less, he nodded as he walked to the exit of the kitchen.

A: "Wonderful! We'll be back before you know it!"

Alastor grabbed Lucifer's hand and teleported them both into Alastor's room. Alastor went up to the shorter king and looked down at his, his grin reaching from ear to ear.

L: "Alright what do you want."

A: "Your blood.~"

L: "What?..."
