- Chapter 34: Match made in Hell -

In the garden of the hotel, there stood Alastor and Lucifer. Both felt awkward and nervous. Neither of them wanted to take the big step and talk first, which was impossible if they did want to talk things through. Alastor was the one who ended up taking the big leap. He sighed, before speaking

A: "My king, I am fully aware that I screwed up our.. little relationship, or whatever he had going on..."

The king furrowed his brows. This was already so splendid... Some part of him told him to leave the demon there, that he wasn't worth the wait, but he stayed, hoping that somewhere in his heart, he fully regretted his decisions and actually wanted something.

A: "And... I deeply apologize..."

Alastor took the king's hand, and kissed his knuckles, rubbing them gently right after.

A: "I know it was wrong of me to play with your feelings like that, all because of a stupid plan. I would like to have a chance to explain myself..."

...

L: "Go on..."

Alastor's ears perked up, and the tail he had hidden was wagging. He certainly was a lucky one if the king of Hell is giving him a chance to explain his mistakes.

A: "Yes.. at first, I was planning on overpowering you, more or so, to kill you in the end... But something weird happened in the process... Slowly, I felt my heart flutter for every small thing you did, anything at this point... I would get nervous around you, of course no one noticed, I'm very good in hiding my emotions. I was confused for the longest time, and even had to reach out to my friend Rosie to really notice.. that all this time, I was in love... I was always in denial of my feelings, but very aware of them too. This terrified me, being able to love now, after not being in love my whole life, and afterlife.. but after you left, I felt a part of me missing... Lucifer.. you complete me..."

Alastor looked away, ears pinned down and a little blush appearing on his face, his grin still wide. He quickly got embarrassed by his words. Lucifer on the other hand, looked at the demon surprised. All this time, some part was real? His mouth turned into a frown, as he realized.

A: "Ah- Maybe I shouldn't have choose these words- Forgive me... What I mean to say is.."

Alastor sighed, preparing himself. He was not going to back away this time. He was going to save their love. Lucifer bit his lips, as he heard what came next."

A: "I love you.."

There they stood, looking at each other for a whole minute. It's like, time had just stopped. Lucifer's eyes filled with tears, but they didn't fall. A smile creeped on his face. He walked up to the demon and hugged him, crying a bit on him.

L: "You are so dumb... I love you too..."

Alastor's ears perked up, his tail wagging underneath his coat. He hugged Lucifer back, not letting go this time. Tears filled the corner of his eyes. Something crazy came over his mind, as it took over his body. He picked up the king in his arms, causing the king to squeak. They looked at each others eyes, not breaking eye contact once, as both leaned in. Finally, the tension broke, as the small gap between them, fully closed, with a sweet, tender, kiss. The time, the world, it all stopped at the moment. Neither of them cared what happened around them. They just savored the moment happening right now. Finally, after a few seconds, they pulled away, Lucifer chuckling a bit.

L: "You are so stupid, ruining us like that."

A: "I know. Don't remind me.~"

Charlie was looking around for her father and Al. It had ben 30 minutes since they walked off to talk. She didn't know where they had run off to, which worried her a bit. Finally, she went over to the hotels garden. Her eyes had caught a lovely moment to cherish forever. She saw Alastor and her dad, holding hands, giggling and laughing. Alastor was placing a rose, coloured red with black ends, on Lucifer's hair, love on both of their eyes. Vaggie joined Charlie a few seconds later, both admiring proudly the new match made in Hell.

V: "Surprises me that cannibal can love."

Ch: "Hm, don't let personality and appearances fool you."

Vaggie chuckled, looking at Charlie, the two girls shared a kiss, as they made their way inside, leaving the two new lovebirds at peace.

The party had finished, and everyone had cleaned up. Lucifer was helping Charlie undecorate some stuff while Rosie and Alastor were talking before she left the hotel. 

R: "I'm glad you finally found your one!"

A: "I'm glad that this all worked out, cause if it didn't, I would have ended myself."

R: "Oh Alastor dear, that's nonsense! If the king truly does love you, obviously he would give you a chance to explain, hoping it turned out for the better! Which it did!"

A: "You are absolutely right my dear cannibal friend!~"

Rosie and Alastor chuckled a bit, it dying down as Alastor felt a par of hands hugging his waist. He looked down to see the king hugging he, resting his eyes. Alastor looked up at Rosie. She smile and waved goodbye, leaving the two males alone together.

A: "Tired aren't we?~"

Lucifer only nodded. It had been a couple of days since he last slept well. Alastor chuckled as he held him close and teleported through the shadows up to his room. With a snap of his fingers, both of them were now on their pyjamas. Alastor made his way to his bed and got under the sheets with Lucifer in his arms. He moved the blonde's hair away and kissed his forehead.

A: "Good night my deer...~"

Hehehehe good ending required. Now let me sleep. [crys]
