- Chapter 10: Bonds Broken -

It was 6 in the morning in the depths of Pentagram City. Charlie and Vaggie were the first people in the Hotel to wake up. They headed downstairs into the kitchen to cook some breakfast for all the hotel members. The were making pancakes when they  heard the hotel doors open. Charlie left Vaggie cooking in the kitchen to greet the whoever had entered the hotel.

Ch: "Hello! Welcome to the Hazbin Hote-... Cherry Bomb?"

ChB: "Heya' Charlie! Good to see ya' up and well!"

Ch: "Good to see you too Cherry! What brings you here?"

ChB: "I've decided to stay in this crappy hotel! Free rent for doing good shit! Plus Pentious would have liked me staying here..."

Ch: "Aww okay! I'll get you settled in right away!"

ChB: "Thanks Char!"

Charlie and Cherry headed into the kitchen where Vaggie was. Vaggie turned around and saw Charlie and Cherry Bomb.

V: "Oh, hey Cherry! What brings you here?"

ChB: "I decided to stay here!"

V: "Really? It's cool that you are giving redemption a chance! Charlie? Could you wake up the hotel members? I finished breakfast."

Ch: "Alright Vaggie! Feel free to explore the hotel Cherry!"

ChB: "Alright! I will."

Before leaving to wake the others up, Charlie gave Vaggie a quick kiss on her cheek and ran over to the elevator. She went to wake up her dad first. Maybe she could ask him to wake up Nifty and Alastor while she woke the others up. She got to floor 15 and went up to her dad's room and knocked on the door.

Ch: "Dad! Are you awake?"

A few minutes passed and her dad answered the door. He was wearing his yellow silk pajamas, his hair was a mess, and he had some light dark circles under his eyes. 

Ch: "Whoa.. dad are you okay?"

L: "Don't worry too much my little duckling, I'll be fine. Do you need something?"

Ch: "Right... I came up to tell you that breakfast is ready!"

L: "Breakfast sound nice right about now. I'll be down in a few minutes."

Ch: "Alright! Also.. could you wake Al and Nifty up? I still need to wake the rest of the hotel.."

L: "It's okay, I'll wake them up for you. You wake up the rest of the hotel!"

Ch: "Thanks dad!"

Charlie started to walk away, but Lucifer then spoke up.

L: "No problem sweetheart... I love you..."

There was a silence as Charlie stop walking away. She awkwardly turned around and saw her dad smiling at her sweetly. This was all new for her, but she decided to not leave him hanging around.

Ch: "I uh... l-love you too..."

She said that quickly as she turned around and ran to the elevator. Lucifer looked at her daughter a bit disappointed. It didn't feel genuine, but he couldn't blame her, he had been absent for the longest time. He decided that next time he would let her say it, not make her feel obligated to say it bad.

He went into his room, closing the door behind him, wiping away the tears in the corners of his eyes. "You can't cry! You're the sin of Pride! And the king of Hell! What would others think if they knew you cried because of a non-genuine 'I love you'?" The king thought to himself. He took off his pajamas and put on his white shirt, rolling his sleeves up. He put on his white pants, black heel boots, his red and white vest, his bow tie, and lastly, his long black gloves. He decided to leave his hat and coat in his room, as he didn't find a need to use it today. He made some white base appear out of nowhere in his hand as he opened it and placed some of the base under his eyes to hide the fact that he didn't sleep well. He brushed his hair and took the keys of his room.
