"You alright there?" Tom asks as I look at myself in the mirror, minutes before going on stage
"Yeah, time to blow the roof of this mother fucker" I say with confidence
"Did you have to many margaritas or something?" He asks me
"I had two tequila shots of confidence but thats all" I chuckle and grab the microphone from the table
"And next up we got Dylan Van Hout" the announcer says and I give Tom a big smile before going onto the stage with my first song already playing
After my first couple of songs I take a moment to talk to the crowd
"So my next song will be the song thats been on the radio on repeat" I say looking through the crowd "I wrote this in one sitting after being replaced before I was even gone and I hope no one ever comes in the same scenario" I say and the intro starts playing and I start singing jumping across the stage finishing my first chorus right before I lock eyes with Theo in the crowd. My entire confidence fades in an instant. The music continues playing as I choke mid performance looking at all the people staring at me.

I turn around to the band and gesture them to switch over to greedy

I walk down the steps toward the drivers that Max introduced me to grabbing Max' arm and signing the others to join me on stage while continuing to sing

We dance around, the mood of a strict event instantly changing getting more loose which is more my type of event
I dance around the drivers, looking at Theo with a big smile while repeating "I would want myself" at the end of the song.
As the music stops everyone gets up and applauds me
I press the microphone against my chest and wave to everyone while bowing a couple of time
"Thank you" I say to the drivers
"We owe you this is the most fun we had at this event in ever" Lando chuckles
"I will speak to you afterwards?" I ask Max
"Obviously" he smiles and leaves the stage with the others
"So that was my new song called greedy which is out everywhere right now, I hope you all like it as much as my last one" I smile knowing it was my last song
"I'm Dylan Van Hout I hope you have lovely night" I wave before disappearing behind the curtains
I let out a huge sigh of relief after putting down the microphone
"You are crazy" Tom chuckles hugging me
"I know" I smile
"Obviously you would shake things up at a fancy event, how did you even come up with that idea?" He asks me and I shrug
"Was your mystery track guy behind this?" He asks me and I stay quiet "NO WAY YOU MET HIM?"
"I can't make any comments but yes, I came up with it because of him" I say and grab my water bottle
"See I wanna be supportive but if I don't even know his name its gonna be hard" Tom says
"You're better off not knowing, I will talk to the drivers to thank them for joining me on stage" I excuse myself seeing the door open and Theo step in
"You gotta be kidding me" I groan
"Hey Dylan, can we talk?" He asks me nervously
"I'll leave you two alone" Tom says trying to sneak off
"No Tom you can stay" I say crossing my arms listening to what Theo has to say
"I want to apologise, I messed up big time and I realise that now. I know I could've included you and Chloe in the cover up relationship but I wasn't thinking clearly" he tells me
"I appreciate you apologising but theres nothing you can do to change how I feel. You tried to take away my instruments, tried suing me for my song that doesn't even mention your name and now all of a sudden you realise you messed up? You just realised what you are missing out on cause as soon as I stepped foot on that stage you thought to urself 'fuck I really missed out' so why don't you get your cheating little ass out of here before I dedicate an entire album to your shitty ass" I say getting more aggressive by every word, getting it off my chest
Theo doesn't say anything afterwards, so he turns around and walks back out again and I turn to Tom whose eye are wide open and I let out a sigh of relief
"Now I deserve some Margaritas" I say and start laughing
"You so do, I will pack things up already" he agrees with me and I walk out and make my way to the bar
"One margarita please" I order and sit down
"and a Gin tonic along with that" I hear a voice say behind me
"Excuse me?" I say with sass and notice it's Max
"You are excused" he chuckles and takes the seat next to me
"That new song sounds so good" he tells me
"I had some random guy give me the confidence to write it. I kinda need to repay him" I give him a smile
"Oh how would you do that?" He asks me
"I don't know, a free autograph maybe?" I joke around and the bartender gives us our drinks
"I think I got a better idea" he tells me as we both take a sip of our drinks
"Oh do tell" I say
"Tomorrow evening, dinner at my place?" He says and I choke on my own spit and cant stop coughing
"So?" He asks again after I stopped coughing
"Are you being serious?" I ask him "as in a date?" I add quietly
"If you want it to be one sure" he smirks with confidence
"I... yes? I don't know where you live tho" I tell him with a suspicious look
"I'll send you my address later, I can also pick you up if you want" he offers
"Listen I am trying to be strong and independent here" I tell him and it makes him laugh
"I know, it's quite hot actually" he says quietly and winks at me before he takes his drink and gets up "I'll see you around, im sure you'll find me" he smirks and walks away leaving me totally speechless
