After our long conversation outside, Max and I joined the others back inside. After a couple hours it's finally midnight and my album officially released worldwide
"Come on now perform something for us" Lando says, hes been whining all night for me to sing a song from my album which I couldn't since the songs weren't released yet but I don't have that excuse anymore
"Yeah, no excuses now mate" George supports Lando
"Come on I'm here to have fun, I don't want to work" I groan
"Just have fun while singing" Oscar says
"I thought we we were the same team here" I act hurt towards Oscar
"Listen I like your music, I wanna hear it live" he says and I shake my head
"Okay, one song but thats it" I give in and get up and walk towards the dj
"Hey what song would you like to request?" He asks me
"I ehm... I am an artist myself, Dylan Van Hout. Im here with some of the Formula 1 drivers and they asked me to perform a song of my album that came out today, is it possible that I can sing one of them?" I ask him and he looks me up on his phone
"Oh damn, you're the one that wrote greedy... yeah sure" he says and I smile
"Wait I'll airdrop you the file for the song" and open my phone and look at the track list wondering which one seems fitting and airdrop it
"Okay great, what's the name of the song?"
"10:35" I tell him
"Okay, it will be up next. You need anything? Other then a microphone?" He asks me and I shake my head
"No I should be alright, thanks again" I smile and wave at the drivers as the song is about to end
"Ladies and gentlemen, we got a exclusive live performance coming up, you know him from greedy, shes all I wanna be, his debut album just dropped today and here's his new song 10:35 give it up for Dylan Van Hout!!!" He hypes up the crowd and nods to me before playing the track
"All I know is 10:35 and I can feel your arms around me, let them drown me. All I know is 10:35 and I'm thanking, thanking god you found me, that you found me. Everyday I go places in my head, darker thoughts are harder now, they look like monsters under my bed and every time its like a rocket through my chest, the tv make you think the whole world's about to end...."
I continue my song as the drivers join me and the crowd on the dance floor moving to my song
I dance my way through everyone until I finally reach Max and dedicate the next lyrics to him making him smile
"I don't know where this night is going, but I know that you and me got something. So many things that im afraid of but right now im not scared of nothing"
I point at him and dance closely to him while I finish my song and everyone starts cheering and applauding
"Thank you everyone, go listen to my new Album its out now" I say before handing the microphone back to the DJ who continues playing his songs while I walk back to the drivers catching my breath
"That was a banger" Lando shouts, making me laugh
"He's right, it's really catchy" George adds and I look at Max who didn't stop smiling since he realised that the song is about him
"I think Tom will kill me for performing live without him" I laugh, since Tom will probably be excited that my song does well live, without a sound check or even practicing
