"Come on, new city, new country pleaseee" I beg him
"I know you love Max and miss him but you knew what it meant to date a driver, you got to live with that" Tom tells me and I sigh
"Listen, I can finally afford to travel this much, my album is doing great. I deserve a little break and come in Singapore seems like a great time"
"You can fly over but im staying here" Tom says
"Whyyyyy" I groan
"It might seem crazy but I got a job that doesn't only include you, I need to record some other songs" he tells me
"You already know that? We got one and half weeks until the race weekend"
"Going to races is your thing, not mine. Im sure you'll survive some days without me, its not like you needed me with Max"
He got a point but I still like having Tom around, for spontaneous song ideas or as a moral compass
"Alright, if I do anything stupid I will be blaming you tho" I tell him jokingly and get off the couch
"You're leaving already?"
"I got plane tickets to buy and I gotta tell my parents about it too" I answer and put on my shoes
"Are we seeing each-other before you leave?"
"No idea, most likely not" I say
"Well have a safe flight and take care" Tom says and hugs me
"Thank you, I will. Have fun working" I smile and walk out the door and drive home in my car
"Hi Mum" I say happy as I walk in the front door
"Hello sweetheart, how is Tom?" She asks
"He is doing great, he asked about you tho and he prays for a speedy recovery from the surgery but I don't think it can be any faster" I smile as she approaches me and hugs me
"And how are you? Already missing Max?" She asks and I follow her back to the living room
"Like crazy, I dont know how I survived not seeing Theo for so long and it's only been 4 days"
"Young love... at least you can video call and keep in touch nowadays"
"Yeah... about that. I was thinking of going to Singapore, watch the race and obviously spend time with Max" I tell her and she smiles
"Took you longer then I expected" she laughs at me
"You knew it?" I say shocked
"Im a mom, its my job to know these things"
"Sooo?" I ask, eventho I don't need her permission, I just like to know she's okay with it
"You're old enough to decide this by urself, so go ahead, live life" she tells me
"You're the best" I say excited
"However I expect daily updates, just to see that ur doing well and I wouldn't complain about information on how you and Max are doing" she insist and I nod
"Obviously, I will book my tickets right away" I smile excited and instantly video call Max as I get to my room and boot up my laptop
"Hey there love" Max says answering the call while walking inside of his kitchen
"Hiii" I say with a big smile and start filling in the dates for my stay
"So do what do I owe the pleasure for this unannounced video call?" He asks and places the phone on his counter, showing me that he is cooking something
