I put my phone away and start getting ready for bed, hearing some notifications from my nightstand as I finish brushing my teeth and jump into bed, checking the messages

Hey Dylan I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to a café with me today, before I have to fly out to Monza in a couple of days
I smile at my phone, answering him
Maybe we should meet there instead so
we don't stay inside all night again
I chuckle at my response put my phone away, looking forward to an actual little date with Arthur so I jump out of bed and get ready and have some breakfast, joining my parents at the table
"Morning mum and dad" I say with a smile
"Morning Darling" my mum responds
"What are you all cheery for?" Dad asks
"Im just happy. I got a date with Arthur later today and Tom booked me a venue for a concert in Italy which means I can join Arthur for another race" I say and bite into my toast with cheese
"Thats great to hear! Did you sort out your mind yesterday before going to bed?" Mum asks me and I sigh
"No, I don't think I need to, I'm happy with Arthur its just so easy and simple with him and I can't let Max ruin that" I say acting confident while I know deep inside that I will always care about Max in an intense way I haven't had with anybody and it hurts not to be able to talk to him about it without either kissing or killing him
"Well, I hope it stays like that. Easy love is difficult to find" my mum says with a smile
"Yeah..." I say not convincing at all but play it off somehow
My phone vibrates in my pocket and I check who messaged me and see that it's Arthur
So is that a yes or a no?
I put my phone away before responding since my parents are both staring at me
"Max?" Mum asks
"No why?" I ask confused
"You put your phone away quickly so I was thinking you are annoyed by his messages" she says and I shake my head
"No it's Arthur, I didn't want to be rude and be on my phone" I respond and they smile
"Just answer quickly" mum says
"Okay one second" I say and type the message quickly

"Oh my god I totally forgot I was gonna go meet up with Tom today, I need to get going" I say when I look at the clock behind my parents
"Recording another song?" They both ask me
"No were preparing a setlist for the show in Monza and maybe record parts of another song but that's up to our motivation" I tell them and put the remaining piece of toast in my mouth and jump up and run to the hallway to put on my shoes on and grab my jacket with all my keys in its pockets
"I don't know when im home, but I got my keys so y'all can lock the door" I yell before leaving the house in a rush and getting into my car while chewing the rest of my toast as I drive out of the Driveway to Toms place which is like 20 minutes away and pull up to his driveway, checking my phone, excited to see Arthur respond to my message but Maxs name is the only one that pops up
