The limo driver appeared suddenly.
"Give me a hand," I said.
Together, we got the driver out of the vehicle.
"Stay still," I said. "Help is on the way."
"Uh," said the limo driver, "no. It isn't."
I looked at the man like he'd just sprouted a second nose.
"My phone's dead. Battery died at the airport. I got no way to call nobody," he said.
"What about Selby's?" I asked.
"I don't know, sir. Here. Take mine. Call 911. And tell them we've got an injured man who's losing a lot of blood."
