The wind was whipping as Harbor looked down. The river was angrily rushing over rocks. White caps were clearly visible.
"This is a lot higher than I thought," he said. "How long did you say this bridge had been abandoned."
"About a decade," Jess said. "But don't worry. We're together in this, right?"
"Till death," Harbor said.
She felt the old man's fingers intertwine with hers.
"On three, then," Jess said.
Harbor shook his head.
"One, two, three . . ."
They screamed all the way down.
