Give in to persuasion

‟ Stop whining,‟ Jisoo said irritably, sending another bite of salad into her mouth.

Jennie rolled her eyes irritably, sipped some soda water, and scooted her feet under the table. She'd always been uncomfortable with the subject. She wasn't interested in it at all. But Jisoo stubbornly brought it up every time they met.

‟ You stop whining,‟ she hissed at the brenette.  Rejection doesn't equate to whining, Jisoo. And you keep insisting anyway.

‟ Come on, Jennie," Jisoo pleaded, carefully wiping the corners of her mouth with a napkin.

No matter how hungry she and Jennie were, they always remembered their manners. Both women came from very wealthy families and knew firsthand that wealth was both a blessing and a curse. They could afford the best and most expensive things, but, unlike other girls of their age and social circle, they behaved with much more prudence and restraint. They rarely went out, especially Jennie.

‟ It's time,‟ Jisoo continued. ‟ It's time for you, or better yet, for us, to go out, to get some air, to show our sexy asses to the world."

‟ Really? ‟ Jennie asked nonchalantly, raising one eyebrow in her trademark way.

‟ Okay, maybe not in front of the world. But that sounds a lot better than-sleeping with someone,‟ doesn't it? ‟ Jisoo laughed.

‟ I'm not sleeping with anyone,‟ the brunette said meaningfully. She had no desire to make new acquaintances, much less jump into bed with a complete stranger for a one-time physical satisfaction. The consequences could have been risky and severe. Jennie was certain that sex wasn't worth it. For such mistakes could sometimes change a whole life.

‟ Exactly! That's the problem!‟ exclaimed Jisoo.

‟ No, honey, the problem is that you keep pushing completely stupid date ideas on me that I'm not interested in at all!"

‟ What makes you so sure you're not interested in them? ‟ Jisoo asked. ‟ You haven't met a single candidate yet. Hell, even I haven't met any of them yet!!! ‟ and the girl pointed her finger victoriously at her friend, as if it was an ironclad argument. Jennie continued to stare at the brunette nonchalantly. ‟ Look, Jennie. It's not like this is some elaborate ordeal. And I'm not going to forcibly marry you off to the first guy or girl ...."

‟ A girl?‟ Jennie interrupted her friend and asked in surprise.

‟ Oh, I remember very well what happened in Cancun,"  Jisoo said with a chuckle. ‟ The only time you agreed to go on spring break with me in college. It was the best spring break of my life,‟ the brunette sighed dreamily.

‟ I shouldn't have been persuaded to go with you. It was a circus. And in my defense, I was wasted. I'm sure you remember how many shots of tequila I drank. Nine,‟ Jennie's cheeks instantly flashed bright pink. The girl tilted her head in embarrassment.

‟ Oh yes, I remember,‟ Jisoo grinned slyly. ‟ I also remember that you drank all those nine shots from different parts of the pretty girl's body."

The pink tint on the brunette's cheeks turned bright cherry. She cleared her throat and hissed, glancing around the café in a costumed manner:

‟ Anyway, it was just the one time."

‟ No,‟ Jisoo disagreed. ‟And the girl in ninth grade? What was her name... She also got you into a weird sorority."

‟ Audrey,‟ Jennie lowered her voice to a whisper.

‟ That's right, Audrey!‟ Jisoo exclaimed excitedly.‟She was a real nutcase."

‟ She was... unusual,‟ Jennie mumbled uncertainly.
