Lisa ran out of the dormitory with dishevelled hair and terribly crumpled clothes. Spitting the remnants of paste on the grass, the girl ran along the building. She had overslept. Being ten minutes late for a normal pair was okay, but today was an exam. So when Lisa woke up and realised that she had overslept, she rushed out of bed, put on the first thing that came to hand, hastily brushed her teeth, grabbed her textbook, notebook and pen and ran out of the room.
The phone rang in her pocket. Cursing everything in the world, the blonde pulled it out with her free hand and looked at the screen - Jennie Kim. Unconsciously, the girl's lips stretched into a smile. It had been about a week since their unplanned trip to the museum. Pressing the answer button and bringing the handset to her ear, Lisa looked up and at the last moment noticed the pole that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere in her path.
"Shit!" she exclaimed and dodged the collision at the last second, but then got tangled up in her own legs.
"I beg your pardon?" exclaimed a surprised voice from the phone receiver.
But Lisa was too engrossed in the flight to respond with anything more intelligible than "Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!". The girl landed directly on the pavement. The textbook, which flew out of her hands as she flew, hit Lisa painfully in the temple. Groaning, Manobal rubbed the bruised spot with her hand, rolled over onto her stomach and, resting her hands on the pavement, stood up.
"Hello? Lisa ?" the communication device was bursting in the grass a few steps away from her.
"Shit," the blonde muttered under her breath and walked over and picked up the phone.
" Hmm, Jennie?" she began hesitantly.
"Lisa ?" was the immediate reply. The blonde clearly felt the utter confusion of her interlocutor.
"Yeah, sorry about the whole "it" thing," the girl apologised while trying to pick up her things out of the way.
"Are you alright, darling?" Jennie asked still concerned . "I thought you were fighting with someone out there."
Lisa's cheeks turned red. Mentally glad that Jennie couldn't see her, the girl quickly muttered:
"Oh, yes, well... I... maybe something just fell... or someone..."
Sensing the girl's embarrassment, Jennie chuckled and asked quietly:
"So did something fall, or did you fall, Lisa?"A smile touched the corners of the blonde's lips and her cheeks turned crimson.
"Stop it!" she mumbled into the receiver and was rewarded with a burst of laughter from the brunette. "Yeah, I fell. I was running, didn't see the pole, got tangled up in my own legs and fell. Now you can laugh if you want to."
"Sorry," Jennie said embarrassed with a laugh. "Are you all right?"
" Yes, I'm fine, thank you. "I was just late for the exam," answered Lisa. You could hear the girl smiling."
"Oh," Jennie said quickly. "Then I won't detain you. Could you call me back after class?"
"Sure," Lisa answered, switched off the phone, and sank down on one of the benches along the campus. Glancing at her watch, she realised that there was no point in rushing to the exam. It was too late. The girl sighed and shook her head. She was not happy with herself. After a bit of thinking, Lisa came to the conclusion that she could call the professor and, citing poor health, ask to take the exam on another day. She was on good terms with the professor, and the girl's attendance was exemplary. It wouldn't be easy, but it was doable.
