"Hey, look!" said Lisa, pointing to a large counter with soft toys in the shape of animals.

" I never would have guessed, dear, that you still sleep with toys," Jennie laughed softly .

"Ha-ha," Lisa smiled and nudged her with her elbow.  "I meant for Sam."

"You were in my son's room,"  the brunette nodded meaningfully at the stroller with the baby, which Lisa was slowly rolling. "He has too many toys as it is. I think he sometimes forgets which ones he has."

It was true. In the corner of Sam's bedroom was a large shelving unit, all crammed with books and toys, mostly dinosaurs. Lisa thought it was cute, but also agreed that there were too many toys. Still, the nanny wanted to get the baby something.

"Then why do you keep buying them for him?"  Manobal asked, poking the brunette in the side with her finger. Jennie wrinkled her nose and shot a playful glance at the student.

" It wasn't me," Jennie exclaimed.  " I haven't bought him a single toy since he turned two. There's no need. My mom buys everything she sees."

"Ohh," Lisa cooed. "That's so sweet of a grandmother to spoil her grandson."

" It's not nice, dear," Kim grinned.  " It's not good for discipline. As soon as Sam moves his little finger, my parents are all over him. They don't even deny it. And if I can deny Sam anything, my mom is always there to fulfill his every whim. It's crazy."

"Your mom is a gray cardinal," Lisa laughed. Shaking her head, she laughed even louder when she remembered her brief encounter with Seo Yeong Kim.  "Spiky-haired," she said quickly.          " 'I've only known your mom for a couple of seconds, but she's already managed to spike you with the fact that you're surely crazy if you haven't slept with me."

Jennie moaned softly, which made Lisa laugh even harder.

"Mom has no shame or conscience," the brunette shook her head. " No, actually she does. She just forgets about them when it comes to my personal life."

"Yes," Lisa said. "I swear I thought your face was going to explode, so red with embarrassment."

"Yours wasn't any better," Jennie elbowed the student.

"Yeah, but yours was redder," the blonde teased.

" It wasn't."

"It was."

"It wasn't."

" It was!"

"It's so childish," Jennie said. Still, the girl smiled. Then she lifted her head proudly, showing that it was beyond her dignity to take part in such a childish argument. After a few seconds, the girl whispered softly. "Yours was redder ."

"Аha!" exclaimed Manobal, hearing Jennie 's last words . " Not at all. You were more embarrassed because your mother teased you."

"Very good," she said with a smile, unable to keep a serious expression on her face. "A fair point.Mom does like to tease me. I think that's a trait all mothers have. I'm sure I'll tease Sam when he starts dating. It's kind of a tradition for mothers, don't you think?"

Lisa shrugged her shoulders. Her gaze went blank for a moment, then she answered in an even voice:

" I don't know."

Jennie shifted her gaze sharply to the student. Her stomach clenched unpleasantly at the girl's words.

" Lisa, I..." she began, but Manobal quickly waved her away.

"No, no," Lisa said softly, stopping and turning to Jennie . " I'm sorry, I don't know why I said that. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."

Jennie shook her head, gazing intently into the blonde's green eyes, and Manobal even thought she saw her reflection in the brown eyes opposite. And there was also... admiration there? It made the student feel stronger, more confident. She had always avoided such topics, because people would immediately begin to show pity for her. Manobal hated that feeling in people's eyes, like they were looking at a stray puppy that hadn't eaten in weeks. It made her feel weak. So the girl tried her best to avoid talking about her childhood or simply ignored them.
