"Well, what do we do first?" Liz asks, smiling. Everyone thinks for a moment as I lean against the wall.
"What if we just have some fun with our secrets?" I suggest, raising my hands in question. Everyone nods excitedly and races to the door. I'm the first to reach it and step on the dirt below. Once everyone is on the ground, I speak up.
"What if we show each other one by one?" I suggest, wanting to show everyone how high I can fly.
"Like a contest or just showing off?" Tara asks, folding her arms in front of her.
"Let's just show off," I answer, smiling. The group nods in agreement and excitement.
"Who's going first?" Juno asks, glancing at everyone.
"I'll go," Milo says holding his gallon of water. We all smile and shrug as we nod.
"Wait," I interrupt as I think of something, stopping him from the beginning. I take five long sticks and stand them up-right in the dirt.
"There," I announce, taking a few steps back as I present the sticks, "I dare you to knock them down."
Milo laughs as we all take a few steps away from him. Milo quickly opens the gallon, before lifting his hands. Slowly and calmly, water floats together out of the container. He brings his hands apart splitting the orb of water into two orbs. Once Milo separates his fingers on his right hand, the orb on his right, splits into many tiny little orbs floating around in the air. The little droplets of water float over our heads. Milo's right-hand drops and the water rains on our heads. The small droplets of water feel good on our skin on this warm day. Milo then directs his attention to the five sticks in the ground. He puts his hands together and then apart splitting the left orb into two. He separates his thumb and pinky-finger from the rest of his left hand and just his thumb from his right hand, causing the left orb to morph into three orbs and the right orb to split into two equal orbs. Milo looks at the sticks and pushes one hand out and then brings it back in. He then does the same with the other and switches his hands back and forth. One by one, the water whacks all five sticks to the ground. Once they are all laying on the ground, I applaud him. He bows and the entire group then applauds with wide smiles on their faces.
"Not bad," I jokingly say to Milo, who walks up to me and the group, "Now who's next?"
"I'll go, I guess," Nathan suggests holding his hand up so we see him.
"Alright!" Tara says enthusiastically. Nathan suddenly has a wide smile on his face.
"So, what kind of challenge should be for Nathan?" I ask the gang, looking Nathan up and down.
"I know!" Liz exclaims, "Why don't we have a rock in the center and we are in a circle out to about ten feet away from it?"
"And what would that accomplish?" Juno asks, in his sarcastic, 'what are you thinking' voice.
"Nathan has to get the rock," Liz begins to explain, "but we are protecting it, and if we tag Nathan, he loses."
"That's a good idea," Tara admits. Liz grins and nods in thanks. We all walk around looking for a rock as big as both two fists combined. We search for about one minute until Juno yells out.
"I found a perfect one!" Juno yells holding up a large grey rock. We all rush back under the treehouse and set the rock down.
"You ready?" Milo asks Nathan.
"Let's do this," Nathan confidently smiles. We all spread ourselves away from the rock, forming somewhat of a circle. Nathan stands in front of me. I smile at him and he looks past me at the rock as he stands competitively. I can hear Milo countdown.
