It only takes a second for Ana to notice when Leland had walked into the house, and it only took another second for Johnny to enter as well.

Leland knows that it's all in his head right now, but he could swear the second Johnny walked into the room - a tense feeling aired in the area. It made Leland feel like he was exposed in the worst way possible, and even though seeing Ana right now, made his heart leap - he couldn't help the dreadful feeling that washes over him as well. His eyes stay locked on his fiancé from across the room, and he doesn't dare look towards the other man right now. He's not sure if he could handle what face that man would be wearing, or if he would be glaring at either her or him.

So many thoughts are running around his mind when he looks at Ana, and the only one that's sticking out right now is; why was she here? Why was Ana at this place, when he wasn't due to make his return home for another three weeks? It confuses him to no end right now, but he does his best to keep his face neutral in that sense - just so Ana doesn't think something is up with him right now. He knows his next move is to go to her, embrace her in his arms like a loving partner would do. But he feels like his feet are stuck for a minute, and he can sense that Johnny is still behind him. Most likely waiting to see what move Leland makes right now.

He can see the smile stretch on her face, while she pushes a strand of hair behind her ear. And Leland automatically wants to move towards her, it's like it's just instinct to want to be near her when she's around. And he knows he can't think too much about it right now, because that was his fiancé. This is his partner. And as much as he doesn't want to hurt Johnny at the same time, he also can't just ignore Ana while she's standing right there. So Leland makes his move, he does what he knows is the right choice for once - and he takes those strides closer towards her. The smile gets even bigger on her face when she looks at Leland, and when he's standing in front of her now - she doesn't hesitate to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him into her own chest; before her lips are connecting with his in an instant.

They were soft against his own, and it's a feeling that Leland forgot all about. He forgot how soft Ana was in general, and his hands go to her waist to hold her close as well; before he kisses her back. It instantly feels like home to him, moving his lips against hers as he feels how much love she's putting into this. It makes his heart ache just a tiny bit, and he's not sure if it's because of Johnny or because of her. He doesn't want to try and figure that one out just yet, he still needs to wrap his mind around the fact that she was here.

They pull apart after a couple of seconds, her smile still wide on her face - as she looks up into Leland's eyes with so much love; it could make angels sing.

His heart is beating hard against his chest the more he looks into her eyes, and for just a split moment; Leland forgets the predicament that he was in. It's like having her here with him, physically, was enough to rewire his brain to think of only her. And the feelings he has towards her are surfacing again, the more he looks into her eyes - the more he realises how much that he fucking loves her. He could almost get himself lost with her right now, the world around them fizzling away slowly - but it doesn't last for too long, before she's pulling away with a shy smile on her face. And Leland instantly misses her touch.

"Hey baby," Her voice was soft, music to Leland's ears - and he doesn't even know why his heart beats harder to her words, "It's so good to see you now, I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too," Leland says, one hand still on her hip as he grips her just a little bit tighter, "So much." And it wasn't necessarily a lie, he did miss her for the whole time he was here; he just had other things clouding his mind for a bit. And it just confused his judgment while she wasn't with him.
