chapter twelve

Chapter twelve.

Belle Grace Black, Born June 5th, 1988, at 7:47 AM, 6 lbs,7 ozs. 18.

After belle feeding, she fell asleep
in marlena's arms.

Marlena's eyelids slipped shut, too.

John entered the bedroom after he called everyone to tell them that belle is finally here.

John smiled at his wife and daughter as he walked over to the bed.

John took the belle from his wife and cradled her.

John eventually putting belle into the bassinet at the bedside.

 Sleep when the baby sleeps, advice every baby book ever written.

After making sure belle was comfortably sleeping, john
got back into the bed next
to marlena and slept.

Two hours passed in silence until belle began wriggling around in her blanket.

Belle let out a small cry and both marlena and johm's eyes flashed open.

Marlena swung her legs over the side of the bed without thinking and grimaced at the sudden movement.

Ouch.

she winced.

Marlena, I can get her.

John said as he sat up.

"No, no, I got her and I'm supposed to be up walking a few hours after birth anyway.

Marlena said as she walking around to the other side of the bed to the bassinet.

She scooped belle up from the bassinet and bounced her in her arms.

"Hi, Did you sleep well, sweetheart

Marlena said as said fixing the waistline of her sweatpants.

John moving over to the other side of the bed so marlena didn't have to walk back around.

Marlena sat back down on the bed and brushed her finger over the baby's soft cheek. "

I think she got even cuter while she slept.

Marlena said to her husband.

She really did and we make beautiful little human beings together.

John said as he looked down at his little girl.

"I want another one.

Marlena said and john looked at her like she had two heads.

she laughed.

"I don't mean we have to get started right now, But I already miss being pregnant and It's weird having her on the outside.

Marlena told her husband.

John let's belle grab onto his finger.

I called everyone and they are
going to come by the house later.

Okay.

Marlena said as she looked down at her daughter.

Mommy's going to feed you again and later you're going to meet a few very overexcited aunts and uncles.

Marlena told the baby.

Belle blinked at her and stuck out her little tongue.

John felt his heart skip in his chest at how fascinating his daughter was.

He reached for her while marlena adjusted her  shirt.

God, I love you.

John said as he  kissing the baby's cheek.
