Veldora POV

After leaving the Heavenly Star Place, I decided to visit my two oldest friends in this world, Amelia and Lily. It had been 20 years since I last saw them, and I was curious about how they were doing. Although I hadn't changed much in my human form, I was eager to reconnect with them.

After an hour of flying, I arrived at my destination. I approached the gate and showed the guard my ID before entering. Using my magic sense, I located both Amelia and Lily, who were in separate locations. I chose to visit Amelia first, as she was closest to me.

Upon reaching her location, I found her residing in a large house. I knocked on the door, and after a brief moment, it swung open to reveal a young boy, barely reaching my chest. He stared at me for a moment before rushing back inside to fetch someone. Shortly afterward, Amelia emerged, and I instantly recognized her

Veldora: (smiling) Hello, Amelia. It's good to see you again.

As I spoke, tears began to flow from Amelia's eyes, and she embraced me in a tight hug, surprising me. It hadn't been that long since I last saw her, so I was puzzled by her emotional reaction. However, it dawned on me that humans don't live as long as other creatures, and 20 years must have felt like an eternity to her. She must have truly missed me, I realized, and so I gently patted her head as she clung to me. After five minutes, she finally released me, wiping away her tears before standing up.

Amelia: You look exactly the same as when I last saw you!

Veldora: Kuhahahaa, I've aged quite a bit in spirit. How have you been all these years?

Amelia: Oh, you know, just busy with life and adventuring. I even got married 10 years ago and (she picked up her child) gave birth to this sweet young boy.

Veldora: That's wonderful news! And how about Lily?

Amelia: She got married 3 years ago and now she's living with her husband. She should be paying me a visit soon.

Veldora: I see, that's good to hear.

We then engaged in conversation, during which Amelia introduced me to her husband and child. She shared stories about how they met and fell in love, and it was heartwarming to see the happiness in her eyes.

As I enjoyed some cookies made by Amelia, the door suddenly swung open, revealing Lily.

Lily: (Eyes widening) Veldora?! Is it really you?

Veldora: (Grinning) Indeed, it's me! It's been far too long, hasn't it?

She embraced me in a hug, her relief evident.

Lily: (teary eyes)We thought we'd never see you again, and we were worried something had happened to you.

Veldora: Apologies for not visiting sooner. Training took longer than anticipated.

Lily: Well, it's really good to see you again.

Veldora: Likewise.

Lily: So, how long do you plan on staying here?

Veldora: Just for today.

Amelia: I see, so you plan on going somewhere?

Veldora: Yeah, I want to do some exploring. I was going to ask you two to join me, but since you both have families and kids to look after, I suppose you can't come.

Amelia: Unfortunately, no.

Lily: If it was 10 years ago, we would have said yes.

Veldora: (Nodding) I understand. Family comes first, after all. But don't worry, I'll be sure to visit whenever I can.
