Veldora POV
Veldora: So, how did you enjoy the food I made?Seraphina: I-it was so delicious, the b-b-best thing I've ever had.
Lyra: Yes, it was. I've never tasted something this amazing in my entire life.
Veldora: KUHAHAHA, of course, because I was the one who made it.
Zephyr: It wasn't that great.
Lyra: Sorry about him. He just has an ego and can't admit when something is good.
Veldora: I see, a stubborn person, is he now? KUAHAHAHA.
Zephyr: Shut up already. Your laughter is so annoying.
Seraphina: Z-z-zephyr, you don't need t-t-t-to be s-s-so r-r-rude to someone who o-offered u-u-us food.
Zephyr: Tsk.
Lyra: (getting up) Anyways, we need to go now since we have to report in.
Veldora: (going behind her and putting his arms around her shoulders) Now, now, you don't need to leave so quickly. Let's play some games before you guys go.
Lyra: (surprised as Veldora puts his arms around her shoulder) Sorry, we have to go or else they won'tl cure our friends.
Veldora: Cure your friends? Why is that the case?
Lyra: We're not originally from this world. One day, while myself, Zephyr, Seraphina, and two others were playing, we suddenly found ourselves in a different place—a kingdom. We were then told that we were summoned to be heroes and fight against monsters, demon lords, and other evil threats. However, only the three of us were deemed suitable for this task, as the other two were just kids and too sick due to an excess of magicules in their bodies. The higher-ups in the kingdom promised that if we performed well in hunting monsters and defeating demon lords, they would find a cure for them. That's why we had to confront you. But since we failed, we need to report that we were no match for you.Veldora: (inner thought) This situation sounds eerily familiar...hmm.
Zephyr: If only we were stronger. Damn it.
Lyra: Even if we were stronger, I still think we wouldn't stand a chance against him. We might as well inform the higher-ups to abandon this territory and pursue other demon lords and monsters.
Veldora: About that... The higher-ups have been assigning you impossible missions. While defeating low-class monsters might be feasible, taking on any demon lord at this point would be beyond your capabilities.
Seraphina: I-I-I-Is defeating other d-d-d-demon l-l-l-lords going t-t-to be h-h-h-ard?
Veldora: Yes, they are significantly stronger than the three of you combined, not to mention Milim and Guy, the two strongest demon lords.
Lyra: Are those two stronger than you?
Veldora: Guy, no. But Milim is a different story; her potential is limitless. As of now, though, I'm stronger than both of them.
Lyra: I see. Thanks to you, we have a clearer understanding. The kingdom deceived us by promising that we could defeat them, but without their defeat, we can't cure the children.
Veldora: About that, I know how to cure the two children.
Lyra: Please, tell us. We'll do anything to repay you. Please, save them.
Seraphina: P-p-please save them. They mean everything to us.
Zephyr: Yes, please do it.
Veldora: But before that, let's have some desserts!
