3rd person POV
As we approached the city gate under the cover of darkness, tension hung thick in the air. The plan was clear: Veldora would distract the guards while Lyra, Zephyr, and Seraphina slipped past and made their way into the city.
Veldora: (cracking his knuckles) Alright, time to show these guards what the storm dragon is made of.
Lyra: (whispering) Remember, Veldora, no killing. We just need to buy enough time for us to get inside.
Zephyr: (checking his sword) Let's make this quick. We don't have all night.
Seraphina: (nervously) P-p-please be c-c-careful, Veldora.
Veldora: (grinning confidently) Don't worry, Seraphina. I've got this under control.
With a nod of understanding, the group took their positions. Veldora stepped forward. The guards, caught off guard by his sudden appearance, tensed up, hands instinctively reaching for their weapons.
Guard#1: Halt! Who goes there?
Veldora: (smirking) Ah, just a humble traveler passing through. Mind if I take a little detour through your fine city?
Guard#2: (suspiciously) State your business here, traveler. We don't just let anyone waltz in.
Veldora: (playfully) Oh, come on now. Where's the hospitality? I heard you guys have the best ale in the kingdom. Thought I'd come and give it a try.
Guard#1: (skeptically) Nice try, but we can't just let anyone in, especially at this hour.
Veldora: (feigning disappointment) Well, I guess I'll just have to find another way then. But before I go, how about a little sparring match? I've been itching for some action lately.
Guard#2: (gritting his teeth) You're asking for trouble, traveler. But if that's what you want, then so be it.
With a swift motion, the guards drew their weapons, steel glinting in the moonlight as they prepared to face Veldora. Meanwhile, Lyra, Zephyr, and Seraphina seized the opportunity to slip past unnoticed, their footsteps silent as they made their way into the city.
Lyra: (whispering) Quick, let's move before they notice us.
Zephyr: (nodding) Right behind you.
Seraphina: (anxiously) I h-h-hope Veldora is going to be o-o-okay.
Back at the gate, Veldora grinned as he faced off against the guards, his confidence unwavering even as they closed in on him.
Veldora: (tauntingly) Come on, boys. Show me what you've got!
With a roar of defiance, the battle began, Veldora's fists a blur as he unleashed a flurry of strikes against his opponents. Despite their best efforts, the guards found themselves outmatched by Veldora's sheer strength and agility, struggling to keep up with his relentless assault.
Guard#1: (gritting his teeth) He's too fast! We can't land a hit on him!
Guard#2: (panicking) What do we do? We can't let him get past us!
But Veldora paid no heed to their pleas, his focus solely on the thrill of battle as he danced around his opponents with practiced ease. With each blow, he drew out the fight, buying precious time for his companions to make their way into the city unnoticed.
Meanwhile, Lyra, Zephyr, and Seraphina moved swiftly through the shadows, their hearts pounding with anticipation as they approached their destination. The city loomed before them, its towering structures casting long shadows in the moonlight as they disappeared into the darkness.
