Temporal Redemption: Veldora's Journey Through Time

After making their way back to Tempest, Rimuru decided to throw a grand feast to celebrate their recent victory and the revival of their fallen comrades. The city was alive with joy and laughter as everyone gathered to join the festivities.

Rimuru stood before the crowd and gave a heartfelt speech, thanking everyone for their unwavering support and dedication. He spoke of the trials they had faced and how he couldn't have achieved success without their collective effort.

No sooner had Rimuru finished his speech than he was swiftly dragged away by Shion, who was eager for him to try her latest culinary dish as they promised before hand. Benimaru followed close behind, trying to maintain his composure despite the dread in his eyes, knowing all too well that Shion's cooking could be a dangerous.

Meanwhile, Veldora was the center of attention elsewhere, regaling the citizens of Tempest with grand tales of his adventures and exploits. His booming laughter echoed through the air as he animatedly told stories, delighting everyone around him with his larger-than-life personality.

Shizu, having found a quiet spot amidst the lively celebration, sat down to enjoy the food and drink. She watched the joyous scene unfold around her and was glad everything was fine and well. 

(The next day)

The next day, after the grand feast, Rimuru found himself back in the meeting hall, surrounded by  representatives from other nations. The day had brought many surprises, with unexpected guest  arriving to discuss the aftermath of recent events and the future of Tempest.

The meeting began with a focus on the Falmuth invasion that had occurred just a few days prior.  It was decided that Veldora would take the blame for the massacre. This decision was strategic: by attributing the destruction to Veldora, Tempest could avoid provoking widespread fear among humans toward Rimuru, who still hoped for peaceful coexistence. Additionally, Veldora's fearsome reputation as a revived evil dragon would serve as a powerful deterrent against any future aggression towards Tempest.

Next on the agenda was the matter of Clayman. Rimuru, still burning with the desire for retribution, made it clear that he would personally attend the Demon Lord's Banquet, Walpurgis. He intended to confront Clayman and settle the score for the attack on Tempest. The others in the room supported Rimuru's decision, recognizing the importance of dealing with Clayman.

The meeting also covered other important topics. Ramiris, one of the Demon Lords, had made an unexpected visit. Rimuru also announced his intention to support Youm in becoming the new king of Falmuth, a move that would help stabilize the region and prevent further conflict. Finally, they discussed how to handle the Western Holy Church, an organization that had been a consistent threat. 

Before the meeting

Before the meeting, Rimuru and Veldora took a moment to have a private discussion. Both were acutely aware of the importance of their decisions moving forward, given their shared memories of the other timeline.

Veldora: Listen, Rimuru, I think we should act the same way we did in the other timeline.

Rimuru: You think so? I was kind of thinking the same thing.

Veldora: Mhm, we don't know what will happen if we change things, so we should play it safe.

Rimuru: True, the last thing we need is to cause unforeseen problems by altering the timeline.

Veldora: Exactly. The timeline we remember brought us here, where things are stable. We don't know the consequences of deviating from that path.

Rimuru: Right, sticking to what we know worked is the safest bet."
