Veldora POV

It had been two decade since my last sparring match with Dagruel, and in the intervening years, our encounters had become rather one-sided. While I visited him countless times for sparring sessions, it felt more like I was teaching him rather than engaging in a true battle. Our power levels were simply too disparate, a fact that often left me feeling unfulfilled.

In addition to my visits to Dagruel, I also made time to catch up with Amelia and Lily. As the years passed, I found myself increasingly turning to meditation as a means of passing the time.

Yet, despite my efforts to occupy myself, there was an undeniable sense of emptiness in my heart. Without Rimuru by my side, life felt dull and lacking in purpose. Oh, how I longed for the excitement of the good old days.

As I delved into my meditative state, a sudden disturbance shattered the tranquility around me—a portal materialized, revealing a woman with striking blue hair adorned in a maid outfit. With a graceful transformation, I shifted into my human form, ready to greet her and inquire about her unexpected arrival.

Memories flickered in my mind, hinting at her identity as one of the servants of the Red Primordial, Guy Crimson. Yet, her name eluded me in that moment, lost amidst the recesses of my memory. All I could recall was her title—the Blue Primordial, a name that resonated with power and significance, the oldest of the demon kind.

Veldora: Blue Primordial? Why are you here?

Blue Primordial: Greetings, Storm Dragon Veldora. My name is Rain, and I have been sent here by Lady Velzard to deliver some unfortunate news.

Veldora: (flinching) Sister sent you? Why? What's the bad news?

Rain: It is to inform you of the recent passing of your brother and his wife.

Veldora: I see... that's truly saddening.

Damn it, how could I forget something so crucial? I knew he was going to die soon, but it slipped my mind entirely. I should have been there for him.

Veldora: And where is Milim now?

Rain: Currently, Lady Velzard, Lady Velgrynd, and Lord Rudra are discussing what to do with her.

Veldora: I understand. It's heartbreaking to see my brother perish after losing his power so abruptly. Is there anything else you need to tell me?

Rain: Lady Velzard also mentioned that she wishes to see you and have you join the discussion.

Veldora: I'll have to decline. I doubt I could offer much assistance.

Rain: Understood. Then, I shall take my leave now.

After she left, opening a portal that swallowed her form, I found myself standing outside the cave I called home. The air was cool and crisp, a stark contrast to the turmoil swirling within me. Surprisingly, I didn't feel the overwhelming rage and grief that had consumed me in the past timeline when faced with the death of my brother. Instead, there was a strange sense of calmness, a clarity that I couldn't quite comprehend.

As I pondered over my conflicting emotions, I couldn't help but wonder why I didn't feel the urge to unleash my fury upon the humans as I once did. Was it the influence of my human friends, whose companionship had softened me? Or perhaps it was a sign of maturity, a growth that had tempered the fiery rage of my youth.

Lost in contemplation, I retreated back into the sanctuary of my cave. Transforming into my dragon form, I sought solace in meditation, hoping to find answers amidst the depths of my own thoughts.
