135 years later (65 years before Rimuru arrives)

Lukuto woke up from the bed he was sleeping in and looked outside from the inn where he was staying. After doing some light stretching, he spoke to himself.

Lukuto: It's about that time, huh.

Lukuto left the inn and headed straight toward Leon's castle. He had a promise to fulfill—one he made to both Chloe and Hinata. His mission was to save Shizue from Leon's grasp.

The reason for this was simple yet profound. During his time within Rimuru's stomach, Lukuto had felt Rimuru's pain and regret for not being able to save Shizu. Even after leaving Rimuru stomach, he continued to sense Rimuru's lingering sorrow. Hearing Shizu's story firsthand had moved him deeply, and he had resolved to change her fate. He wanted to train her to become a hero so that when Rimuru arrived, she would be ready to meet him, free from the suffering she had endured.

The city was burning, fire was everywhere, yet two people were running away from it. It was a mother and her daughter. As they were running, a huge pillar engulfed in flames fell towards them. The mother pushed her daughter back to protect her, taking the brunt of the impact herself.

Daughter: Mother! Mother!

The girl screamed, desperately calling out for her mother, but there was no response. In the next moment, the girl was engulfed in a vortex of fire and transported to a new world.

As the girl woke up in the new world, she found a man with blond hair standing above her, looking down coldly. She had burns all over her body and lay helplessly on the ground. The man, Leon, a newly ascended demon lord, looked at her for a moment before speaking.

Leon: Another failure.

Leon said it coldly and began to turn away, showing no concern for the injured girl. As he walked away, the girl managed to cry out, her voice weak but desperate.

Young Girl: H-help.

The girl raised her hand, seeking help from the man who was leaving her behind. Leon stopped and turned around, scrutinizing her intently.

Leon: I thought she was useless, but she may have an affinity for fire.

With a thoughtful expression, Leon summoned a spirit of fire.

Leon: Ifrit, I offer her body for you. Use it well.

Ifrit roared as fire surrounded him, and in the next moment, the wild fire spirit entered the girl's body, merging with her. The girl looked bewildered, not understanding what had just happened. She and Leon locked eyes, a silent understanding forming between them.

As they both stared at each other, a single leaf gently floated down. Suddenly, a green humanoid bird appeared before the girl and Leon.

Green Humanoid Bird: The great sorcerer Koenig has come to pay his respects!

The young girl was shocked by the sudden appearance of this green humanoid bird. She instinctively stepped back, moving closer to Leon, seeking protection from the strange creature.

Koenig: Leon! I will defeat you and become the demon lord myself! You can die with your mind at ease!

Leon: Who sent a lowly creature like you here? Still, this is a fine opportunity.

Leon glanced at the young girl, who was scared and confused. She had just been summoned to this world and was clueless about what was happening. She thought, "Why am I here? Are those two going to fight?" As she pondered these questions, Leon spoke again.
