Chapter Twelve

There was a storm that night. I woke up to a loud clap of thunder. It was terrifying, I whimpered at the sound of every thunder. I looked over at Grayson, who was asleep on the couch.

No longer able to handle being alone in the storm, I got up from the bed and laid down with Grayson on the couch. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, I glanced at Grayson to see a big smile across his face. I couldn't help but blush as I snuggled up against his chest. He calmed my nerves about the storm and thunder, I soon drifted back to sleep.

I woke up with the same pair of arms wrapped around my waist. Usually Grayson is up and working by the time I get up, but since today was our day together he slept in with me. I got up as quiet as possible to shower and get dressed. "Good morning, Grayson." I whispered as I got off the couch.

"Good morning." Grayson replied smugly. He must've been awake a while. I smiled at him and walked to the bathroom.

The warm shower really woke me from the grogginess. After the shower I walked out of the bathroom to get clothes from the armoire. Grayson was sitting on the bed waiting for me to be ready. He was already dressed. I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom to put on lacy white crop top and a floral skirt with white vans. I didn't feel like blow drying my hair, so I put it into a side braid. As fast as possible I put on my makeup and walked into the bedroom.

"Well you look nice, like always." Grayson said smiling at me while standing up from the bed. He extended his hand out to me, I placed my hand in his as we walked down stairs to the kitchen.

"I am making pancakes today." I declared.

"That may be a good idea, I'm afraid if I cook I might accidentally poison you." He joked. I grabbed all the ingredients for making pancakes and quickly cooked them. I passed Grayson a plate stacked talk with pancakes and grabbed some for myself. We sat side by side at the kitchen island eating our breakfast. Once we finished, Grayson did the dishes and I dried them. "So what are we going to do today?" Grayson asked while grabbing my hands.

"Anything?"

"Yes, anything."

"I want to go on a run. In wolf form." I decided.

"Okay, sounds great." His eyes lit up like light bulbs. I grinned as we walked outside to a vacant area to shift. Grayson pointed to a tree for me to go behind and shift. I set my clothes aside by a rock and shifted into my gray wolf. I walked out from behind the tree where Grayson's black wolf was standing waiting for me to step out. I jogged over to him and we started to walk then to a leisurely jog.

Soon we started to sprint. He stayed at my pace, I guess to make sure nothing happened. I started to speed up a bit, I felt bad that he has to slow down because of me. I was getting a bit tired, so I stop by a lake to rest. After shifting back into human form, I got into the water so I wasn't standing in the open naked. Grayson soon joined me in the cool lake water in his human for as well.

"I'm guessing you like to swim." He said while noticing how excited I was to be in water.

"Of course I do, I love the feeling of being weightless."

"Well, then I want to show you something." He motioned behind him, I looked to see what he was pointing to. It was a beautiful waterfall, I can't believe I missed something like that when getting in the lake.

"I-it's beautiful." I whispered.

"There's more to it, follow me." He started to swim towards the waterfall, I followed close behind. He went under the water and didn't come back. I looked around seeing if he popped up anywhere. Then a hand grabbed me and dragged me into the waterfall. I fell on top of Grayson as he pulled me in. Our faces so close, I could see the fine detail in his ocean blue eyes. Teasing him, I leaned in as if to kiss him then got up to look at our surroundings. I was in a cave behind the wall of cascading water, a total secluded area to get away from every one. I felt Grayson wrap his arm around my waist, and pull me close to him.

"You can't get away from me that easily." He smirked, then kissed me.

"I love you." I said as we broke away from the kiss.

"I love you too." We spent the rest of the day in the cave talking and sharing stories about our lives before we met each other. I have to say, it has been one of the best days of my life.

The cave was absolutely breath taking. There was a bit of bright green vegetation on the entrance of the cave and around the inside a bit. Bright blue-purple crystals were scattered around the cave walls, there was a small hole in the ceiling of the cave causing a bit of light to peek through.

After spending the day in the cave we decided to go back to the house. We shifted into our wolf forms and ran off. I went back behind the tree where my clothes still were and slipped the back on. Grayson did the same, I walked out from behind the tree fully clothed and linked my hand with his.

We walked inside the house to find Kian giving Victoria a piggy back ride, while Winston chased after them shooting them with a Nerf gun. I could not help but giggle at the scene.

"What the hell?" Grayson growled. They all turned and looked at us.

"Oh come on Grayson lighten up, they are doing no harm." I said while lightly slapping his arm. He nodded and the three proceeded to their game. I was about to join when I felt a little tug on my arm.

"Let's keep our alone time for a while, okay?" Grayson asked.

"Okay." I said almost breathlessly. With that we walked up the stairs and to our room. I turned and looked at Grayson. He seemed to be gazing into my eyes, I like when he does that. "Grayson,"

"Yes?"

"Mark me."

"What?"

"Mark me." I restated sternly.

"Are you sure you are ready?"

"I'm positive." With that he lifted me off my feet and laid me down on the bed. He kissed me on my lips and trailed all the way down where the mark is placed. He looked up at me as if for final approval. I nodded and he sunk his canines into my skin. At first it hurt like hell, but then I got used to it.

My wolf was going crazy, she was waiting for this for a long time. We finished the mating process that night and I remember falling asleep in his arms.

By morning all the pain was gone and I woke up with Grayson's arms still around me. He was still asleep, he looks so peaceful when he's asleep. I snuggled up against his chest and waited for him to wake up. I felt different, I could feel every emotion Grayson felt. I felt like a new person now. A little while later Grayson woke up, he looked down at me. I stared back with a big grin on my face. "What?" He said groggily.

"You look so cute when you sleep." I admitted as I got up from the bed to get ready for the day. I could hear him laughing as I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower. After my shower I grabbed a pair of gray joggers and a white loose tee shirt, I felt like having a lazy day.

After getting fully dressed and ready I walked up to Grayson, who was standing in doorway. I hugged him while tracing the outline of his abs. He kissed my forehead and we walked down stairs. At the end of the stairs we departed from each other, because he has to go back to his Alpha duties today.

"I love you, Mackenzie." He said while walking to his study. "See you at dinner, maybe lunch."

"I love you too." I replied. I walked over to the living room to see a distraught Victoria sitting on the couch. "Vic, what's wrong?"

"I-I'm pregnant."
