Buried Deep

In darkness deep, I lay below,
A cold embrace, no warmth to show.
The heavy earth above, thick and grim,
I'm buried alive, no chance to swim.

No light in sight, no sound to hear.
Only my thoughts, and my growing,
Intense fear.
How long will I last?
How much must I bear?
This dreadful fate suffocates air.

No hope to flicker, no tiny spark,
A voice inside, as loud as my
Dimming, beating heart.
I cannot fight the fear, It'll break my mind.
And thus my will, I leave behind.
