Bringing the egg to where they had been staying in the tower Ariana looked at its shell further. It was a blue shell with purple scales and a hint of gold. Holding it up to the light a small embryo could be seen. In her studies an egg takes around 80 days. Where the egg came from remains a mystery. Beau and Ariana believed Aslan sent the dragon. (The debate on the egg continues to this day in the land as it is a symbol of Faith.)
Beau went to let his father know they would be visting Tristan as he was now 5 and asking for his parents again. Beau and Ariana had only been able to visit a handful of times out of each month. This was incase they were followed they took a long route each time to confuse anyone who dare. Thomas always was there each trip as he was now accustomed to the journey.
King Montgomery gave Beau a dagger to give Tristan which Beau had thought he lost years ago as a child. King Montgomery found it in an old toy chest of Beau's when visiting the castle to check in with Bilbo.
The dagger was a replica of Queen Lucy's from thousands of years ago. Beau had King Peter's sword which had been passed down to son's of Adam to get to Beau. As Beau was written in the prophecy when Aslan closed the door. King Montgomery toted the blade until Beau turned 13. Now carrying his own personalized sword. Ariana handed the egg over to King Montgomery to keep safe while they were away.
When the night came for them to leave they met outside the tower. Thomas has three gryphons waiting for them. Ariana would ride with Beau. The third would follow carrying supplies. Thomas led them thru the night in thick fog to the Cair Paravel ruins.
Making sure they were not followed they landed. General Samson greeted them. He was now becoming an old man like King Montgomery.
By now the ruins were set up into a camp above and below. Using the ruins they made a fortress it had become a small community of trusted men and woman who were in the military forces. The children with them it was a safe place. Tristan was well looked out for by General Samson and Elma.
