Both Tolkien and Beau were nearing their limits, their blades clashing and clashing with no end in sight. Tolkien tried to gain the upper hand, but Beau was a worthy opponent and wasn't going to give in so easily. When Tolkien lowered his guard for just a split second, Beau took his chance and struck with all his force. His sword sliced deep into Tolkien's leg, cutting it off above the knee.
"I don't want to kill you it doesn't have to be this way." Said Beau ready for the next blow.
"You are a coward." Replied Tolkien rushing at Beau.
The battle continued with brutal intensity, both Tolkien and Beau were pushing themselves to the limits. The two combatants lashed out at each other with all their might, their blades clashing and clashing. Neither one wanted to give in, but Tolkien suddenly saw an opening. He slashed towards Beau's neck, but Beau was too quick. He managed to dodge the blow with a flick of his sword. But Tolkien was relentless, and he quickly followed up with another swift attack. Beau dodged again but didn't have time to counterattack.
Knocking Beau down onto his back Tolkien then stepped on to Beau's shield dislocating Beau's shoulder. Slashing his sword downward Beau rolled out of the way tripping Tolkien onto the ground.
Beau breathing heavy waited for Tolkien to get to his feet. Looking around he saw the two armies had gathered around to watch the battle. No one dared to try and intervene with the duel.
"Let's take a respite." Said Tolkien.
"Aye." Replied Beau.
"3 minutes." Tolkien then said.
