Chapter 27: Wake Up

The vampire yawns as he sits up. Closing his eyes he goes through everything he did, saw, and heard in his head.

He stops when he gets to the campfire he saw. Kai remembers what the two were talking about very clearly.

'So what now?'

'Let's wait and start moving in a few. Once we go back we'll explain how they didn't want to negotiate.' He chuckles.

'Actually let's add that they put us in some cells first. They beat us and then they threw us out without even hearing our story.'

'But we have no bruises.' The other says.

'Let's just say we healed or some shit.'

'Ok.'

Kai opens his eyes as he snaps out of those memories.

"Why would they lie about that?"

Looking at the time his confused expression changes into a smirk.

"Ah yes, it's school time."

The omega looks around and waits for him to show up. The bell rings and still nothing.

"Did he sleep in?" Taehyung asks with furrowed brows.

Class after class he waited but still no sign of the petite omega.

Walking into lunch the others turn to him. He spots as they all tilt their heads to the side in confusion.

Taehyung shrugs, he himself doesn't know where he is.

Jungkook can't help but grow worried for the omega. Maybe he just slept in and decided not to go to school which might've been his fault for keeping Jimin up almost the whole night but it still worries him.

What if it wasn't that?

The group glances at him when his scent spikes.

"He's probably sleeping right now." Jin chuckles, trying to lessen the tension.

"Yeah maybe." Hoseok says.

As Taehyung finally arrives with his food Jungkook quickly asks.

"Have you texted him? Did he respond yet?"

"Yeah I texted him but he hasn't responded. I mean he might be sleeping so I wouldn't expect him to text back. Don't worry Jimin is fine, trust me. He just missed one day, not a big deal." The omega tries to comfort.

The alpha only nods.

Taehyung bites the inside of his cheek, not liking the pout on the other's lips.

He remembers their small talk that night he smelled Jimin all over him.

The alpha had an even bigger frown when he had opened the door. Taehyung was beyond shocked when he smelled blackberries all over the alpha.

Jungkook didn't say anything as he turned around and went back to his room. The omega quickly followed him.

"Why do you reek of Jimin?" He asked.

Jungkook grunts out something he can't quite hear.

"Huh?"

Instead of answering the alpha shifts into his wolf form.

Taehyung frowns.

"Jungkook answer me, what's wrong, why are you grumpy?"

The alpha only keeps grunting.

"I can't understand you like this you know that, c'mon shift back and tell me what's wrong." The omega says as he sits down beside the alpha's head.

Jungkook just curls more into himself.
