Chapter 29: For The Best

Jimin remembers what the others told him about vampires and werewolves.

The whole rivalry they have and why this exact moment can be very dangerous. He needs Kai to leave now, especially since the alpha's scent had turned so bitter at the sight of the vampire.

His left hand holds onto the alpha's shirt on the back to hope it can calm him just a small bit.

"I only helped you today because of my father, that's all. You can do the rest on your own."

The vampire narrows his eyes.

"But tomorrow-"

"I never agreed to do it again. Bye Kai."

The taller clenches his jaw.

"You're not allowed on Jeon territory, I advise to to leave before someone spots you." Jungkook states.

The vampire breathes out through his nose. He would stay and argue but he doesn't have time today.

"Ok, fleabag, you win this time." With that the vampire speeds off. Not forgetting that Jimin's smell had worsen. It wasn't his usual scent though...

It belonged to the boy next to him.

He wonders why Jimin smelled like the boy. Plus it happened just then since the omega didn't smell like this before in the woods.

Kai shakes his head as he goes back to his apartment. Jimin and the other fleabag are probably the least of his problems right now, maybe later he'll figure out what's going on between them but for now he needs to call Mr. Park.

"That was him? The one that visited you last time?" Jungkook asks.

Jimin looks up at him.

"Yeah, that was him. He needed a favor that somewhat involved my father so I helped him. Sorry I didn't tell you he was here, it completely passed my mind once I saw you." The omega explains but slightly quiets as he says the last couple of words. He curses himself for becoming shy all of a sudden, why does this seem to happen a lot nowadays?

The alpha fully turns to him.

"I was worried about you. You didn't come to school and thought that maybe something happened. I know I was probably over exaggerating but I felt like I needed to check up on you. That's why I'm here."

Jimin gives him a small smile.

"I can take care of myself." He says teasingly.

"I know but I needed to make sure." The alpha responds with a smile of his own but looks away when he speaks once more.

"Did you spend all day with him?"

The omega slightly tilts his head.

"He woke me up around the time I go to school. Since then we've been together."

Jungkook nods with tight lips.

"Why?" The omega asks, he wasn't going to but the alpha's change in scent made him.

"Just- just asking." The taller responds with a shake of his head.

"Does it bother you?" Jimin pushes, wanting the boy to look at him.

"Yeah. It does." Jungkook finally turns to face him.

The omega goes speechless. He didn't expect the boy to be so direct about it.

"Why?" Jimin asks, needing to know more.

Such an innocent question yet the alpha is having difficulty answering it. He could easily respond with a careless answer but his wolf doesn't let him. His wolf wants something else, to give the right answer that involves all these feelings that have been overwhelming him the past days.
