Chapter 35: Confusion

The vampire narrows his eyes when the werewolves disappear into the rooms. Holding onto the tree branch he sighs.

"Fucking finally." Glancing around he gets ready and jumps from tree to tree.

He huffs when he smells the nasty smell of strawberries on his clothes. Taehyung had pushed him out the rooms saying something about how his smell would anger the alpha or some shit he didn't really care about, all that mattered was that Jimin would get help.

Once he's far enough from the pack he heads to the omega's home, picking up his phone on the way when it rings.

"Hey why isn't Jimin answering? I've called him multiple times already and messaged him as well yet still no answer."

Looking for the scrolls he clicks his tongue when he can't find them.

"I haven't seen him yet. I'll go visit him later. I'm sure he's ok and probably lost his phone." Kai lies.

"Ok, do it as soon as possible please." Mr. Park sighs.

"Sure thing. Has there been any more incidents?"

"No, not yet. It's been calm for a while."

The vampire hums.

"I need to look for something, I'll call you back in a bit."

"Alright."

"Oh also uh..."

Changing his minds he speaks once more.

"Never mind I just found it, alright call you later."

"Ok... bye." Mr. Park furrows his brows when the vampire decides on something else.

Kai sighs as he puts his phone back into his pocket. He was going to ask about heats and ruts but what kind of vampire does that? Even though he is a bit curious about it since he knows that wolves don't have heats or ruts during the full moon since he remembers Mr. Park mentioning it to him but other than that he doesn't know why is that exactly so it's only natural for him to wonder.

Shaking his head he goes back to looking for the scrolls. Throughout the whole week him and Jimin would go out and look for any information regarding the incidents and so far it was going fine but he had finally decided to take a step further. Kai thought it was best if he could sneak around the witches' territory even though he knows it's too risky. It's not that he is not allowed up there but he needs a good ass reason for being up there if he's caught by them. Just like vampires and werewolves, witches also don't get along with them. They aren't as bad but they tend to play many tricks on others. They usually make deals with others in order to achieve getting what they want so on one side it's good since vampires also tend to make deals but there are many cons that come with that. Kai has heard that if you don't do your part, you totally vanish. And he obviously believes it. They are witches and he's seen them do magic so imagining them making someone vanish isn't something he won't believe.

Either way he will go up and snoop around the place, it's actually perfect timing since now he knows Jimin is being taken care of while he will be up north. Though he does think he'll have to take some of the omega's clothes since he has to disguise himself and doesn't like getting snow on himself either.

Kai smiles once he has the scrolls in his hands.

His eyes shift to the left when he hears a click.

Opening the door the man furrows his brows when he sees no one.

"Jimin?" The stepfather asks.

He thought he heard noise coming from up here.

"He's at school sweety remember?" Haewon chimes in as she passes by.
