The omega looks around as he stuffs his hands into his hoodie's pouch. The more they walk the more tall trees and dead leaves scattered everywhere they see. It had been more than twelve minutes and Kai hadn't said anything since they left, well that was until now.
"Ok, we'll start now. So hurry shift and if you pick up on any wolves' scent then just start heading that way. But if it's to the right then ignore those because they're most likely from this pack."
The vampire turns to the omega who has an unreadable expression.
Kai raises his brows.
"What are you waiting for, hurry, we don't have time to waste."
Jimin tilts his head in confusion.
"You want me to shift? As in a wolf? Fur and all."
"Uh yeah." Kai answers with a slight incredulous look.
Jimin looks around, making sure the vampire is talking to him and not someone that popped out from behind the trees.
"You do realize I can't do that right?"
"What do you mean you can't? You're a wolf! All wolves can do that!"
"Yeah I know that! I'm not stupid! It hasn't even been two weeks since I've fully turned! Of course I still don't know!"
"Have they taught you nothing? What have you guys been doing?"
The omega scoffs as he crosses his arms.
"I'm still learning and today was supposed to be my second day of training but I'm here helping you!"
"Helping?! We haven't even started!"
"Ok I'm leaving then." Jimin states as he starts making his way back.
Kai clenches his jaw.
"Ok fine, just use your regular nose, better than nothing."
The smaller rolls his eyes as he turns back to face the vampire.
"Sniff around and tell me if you smell anything right now."
Sighing the omega does just that.
"It smells like dirt and trees."
Kai gives him an annoyed look.
"What about now?"
Jimin furrows his brows but sniffs once more, instantly regretting it.
"Ah shit you fucking stink."
The taller smirks.
"Well now we know your nose isn't broken."
The omega almost releases a growl until the vampire speaks again.
Close your eyes."
"What?"
"Close your eyes and focus. We don't have much time so just try and ignore all the scents around us that are not from wolves. Find a sweet, earthy, musky, or soft scent. Whichever just find at least one."
With a sigh Jimin listens.
He closes his eyes and breathes in.
Fresh air makes it's way into his lungs, different scents combined enter his system. But he can't find a single one that belongs to a wolf. All he smells are trees, different plants, dirt, and the vampire that by far smells the worst.
"Let's walk, you can take small sniffs on the way, maybe we are just too far from them right here."
Opening his eyes the omega nods.
