Chapter 41: What a Shame

They first gathered up all the pups.

Without starting any chaos the Head Alpha ordered all the omegas to gather and lead all the children under the main room. They had built a small basement a long time ago in case something such as a threat were to be made.

Taehyung was in his room with Yunho when a beta came knocking on their door to tell them the news. He wasn't exactly sure what was happening but he knew it was serious if they wanted all omegas and pups under the base.

Without giving it another thought he picked up the pup and a snack and water and started walking towards the base just like the rest. Yes his heart was beating quickly but he didn't want to worry the children that already seemed on edge. Yuhno was very quiet and actually held onto the omega when he was about to set him down. Throughout the days Jimin was in heat Taehyung had spent time taking care of the pup. It was a bit rough the first two days but after it went very smooth. They did everything together and even had Yoongi come over and play with the pup whenever the alpha was free. Although there were times the younger grew sad due to Jimin not being there Taehyung would cheer him up until they fell asleep.

"Do you guys know what's this about?" One of the omegas ask as they make room for the others.

"No I'm just as clueless." Taehyung answers.

"They seem very tense though, I saw Head Alp- oh Head Omega."

They all bow as the Head Omega walks in as well followed by two betas.

"Hey. Let's wait until everyone gets in here before I explain. We just have to keep quiet-"

A long deep howl interrupted her and made some pups jump while the omegas looked out the door. Head Alpha never howled like that unless it was very important to gather everyone up and regarding what she heard she knows it's bad.

"Hurry everyone we need to close the doors!!" The beta's yell at the others that are still running towards them.

Finally having all omegas and pups inside, the two betas lock from the outside while the omegas also lock from the inside.

Taehyung sighs while he holds Yunho closer to him.

"Let's stay calm and quiet." The Head Omega whispers as she gets closer to the rest and gives them a comforting smile.

Taehyung glances at the locked doors hoping everything is fine on the other side.

It was late into the night yet the torches outside were enough to light their homes. Head Alpha stood at front while the rest of the alphas including Junghyun and then betas stood behind him as they stared at the nine vampires that had trespassed. They were smiling at them as the wolves stood silent with glaring eyes.

"Pack leader Juno." The vampire in the center greets with a smirk.

Head Alpha tilts his head.

"Pleasure to finally meet you, I'm Suho. If it were any other day I would have loved to sit and chat, have a nice talk with the leader of one of the strongest packs, or so that's what we've been told, but I didn't come for that. Today, we'll have a little brawl, test that strength of you and your pack."

"Why are you doing this?" Juno asks.

The vampire rolls his eyes.

"You fleabags just don't get it do you? But that's ok, I guess I could make you understand."

In a second the eight vampires behind Suho attack them. The betas put themselves in front of the alphas to let them shift and have more strength that way. Juno didn't even waste time and shifted into his wolf form that was much bigger than everyone else's and attacked the vampire leader.
