Chapter 25: The guy with the glasses

*Five weeks later*
It was finally the day of auditions. I was so nervous. What if I trip? What if my voice goes wrong? What if we don't win? What if we sound horrible? What if our song is bad?
Aah!!
We already got the T-shirts, that had our band name, we prepared the song, 'the guy with the glasses' and it's a song that starts in a slow figure, then gets faster all of a sudden. Pretty cool right? We also loaded all the equipment, so we were about ready.
I had to make sure I looked SPOTLESS. I needed to look good. Rumors said a very famous producer is coming, and if the winners win, the producers will load the winners with a whopping $10,000!! HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!? They also say that the singers will work for the producer, and they get to go live on social media with the producer and in shows, and it's just so MAGICAL!! I would absolutely CRAVE for something like this!!
As we stepped on the stage, my heart was beating as fast as the speed of light. I just had to give it my BEST shot.
Put it together, Sierra. You just have to win. You can do this.
Then, I started my solo,
"The guy with the glasses, who are you?
The guy with the glasses, what did you do?
We used to be friends, and now we're enemies
We used to be friends, and now you don't know me
You dumped my life, just to be with her
You used to have my back, I'm facing it now
The guy with the glasses, are you there?"
As you can see, this is totally based on the one and only Lee. I thought if he hears this he would be affected somehow, and know that even if he treats me like garbage, I still do believe that there's a tiny piece of goodwill left inside of him.
And then after my solo, we all joined in on the song.
"Alright, thank you. Have a seat. We will be announcing the winners of the audition tomorrow."
AAHHH! WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE TOMORROW??
BUT HOW SCARED I AM!!!
