"You can love someone so much, but you can never love people as much as you can miss them." —John Green
AMELIA HAD SIGHED AS SHE NOTICED AARON. He was stuck in his work zone, clearly in his head as he stared at the bodies of the case JJ had informed Garcia to give him.
"Quick question." She asked keeping her eyes away from the dismembered body.
"Are you getting paid or is this like a pro-bono case?"
Aaron looked up to her sighing releasing a small chuckle. "Think of me as supervising the case." Amelia nodded.
"So pro-bono?" Amelia ran a hand through her hair. "What did Strauss say about this?" Amelia asked him expectantly.
"She's actually with the team." He said lowly looking down.
Amelia shook her head. "Let me get this straight, Strauss who suspended you is working with your team on the case and she doesn't even know you're supervising?" Aaron nodded his face heating up slowly.
"Aaron. I thought you were going to try and stay in her good graces. She could have fired you, but she suspended you. What happened to the nine to five job?"
"I, I can't give up on the team Amelia." He spoke releasing a sigh.
"Aaron I told you I would support you in any decision you made but I think you're going about this in the wrong way." She paused her eyes falling to the photographs causing her to feel a certain vile to rise in her throat. "I'm gonna be sick." Amelia spoke before turning around and running towards the downstairs bathroom.
Aaron had left his seat as soon as he noticed her familiar expression as he followed her into the bathroom. Shaming himself for leaving the photos out like that. He knelt down besides her pulling her short strands behind her face.
Amelia felt completely and utterly distraught as she threw up into the toilet, repeatedly. Aaron rubbed her back as he spoke those soothing words out loud.
She hated throwing up. She hated morning sickness. She hated the random weird cravings she had in the early mornings and late nights. But she loved being pregnant.
Amelia sat back taking her head out of the toilet as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "I hate morning sickness." She whined as she lent back into Aaron.
Aaron nodded rubbing her back soothingly. "I know baby." He began sitting up pulling her up as well.
Amelia washed her face in the sink along with her mouth as Aaron stood watching her.
